It seems that my daughter, or one of her friends, has brought bed bugs into my house. I live in a tri-plex, and don't want them to keep coming back. Has anybody out there ever delt with them before. What did you do? Did you have to get them exterminated? My daughter seems to be allergic to their bite. My son and I do not have such a reaction. I saw them on my son's bed, so he has to be gettig bitten. I have done a few things, such as putting on mattress bags and changing the bed frames. I have also put a container of vegetable oil under each bed leg. This is helping as far as them getting on the bed, but I still want them gone. I have ordered a Riddex pest control system. It plugs into an outlet. My mother had one and it did keep bugs and rodents out of her apartment. I am not sure if it will work for bed bugs. Does anybody know? Please help. My daughter is unable to sleep in our house.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I am not sure what is going on. I have not seen a single bug since I put up the request. The only things I did is what I already mentioned, plus I sprayed a little and we sleep in sleeping bags. I am still waiting for the Riddex to come.

Bed Bugs are nasty little critters and the sooner you have an exterminator come in to treat them the better off you are going to be. Normal treatments do not work, there is a specialiszed treatment that needs done and only a few exterminators in York County perform it. I manage townhome rentals and had this issue in one of the rentals, I have not had it personally but the tenants daughter had severe reactions to the bites just as you mentioned and it turned out they were the worst in her room.

Good luck with everything, they are treatable I know it just takes awhile.
