HI! I am also breastfeeding and struggling with milk supply. I have found that when I eat oatmeal a couple of days in a row that my milk production goes up. I don't know why, but it seems to work for me! Something else that helps is a dose or two of Reglan. I asked my OBGYN about my milk production and he prescribed Reglan for me. He suggested taking it three times a day, but I can take about one dose every couple of days and it keeps the milk flowing!
Kudos to you for keeping up the nursing for almost a year! That is so awesome! I nursed DD #1 for 13 months, but my second daughter has been a challenge. She is eight months old now, and it is sometimes a fight just to keep her interested in the breast and not on whatever else is going on in the room. She is so busy, too. I never had this problem with DD #1, which I am sure is why I never had a problem with milk supply with her. Isn't it amazing how different kids can be?
Hope everything works out for you!
