I know you already received a lot of answers but I will give you my quick recipe. 1lb pinto beans, about 4 strips of Bacon cut into small pieces, 1 jalapeno chopped ( I take the seeds out cause I don't like it hot), 1 onion chopped, lots of salt, cumin, and garlic powder.
I rinse the beans real good about 3 or 4 times and throw all the ingredients in with a lot of water put it on low overnight and there ready in the morning. I either leave them on warm till I need them or put them in the fridge and heat them up later. Simple easy and very good.
