I just wanted to add that with a toddler her age, it might be a good idea to get some sort of "leash" (for lack of a better word) for those times that she wants to walk around. There will be lots to look at for all of you, and it might make you feel better. We plan on getting the dog or monkey backpack that walmart sells, that attaches to the child with a buckle across the chest, and then the tail of the animal becomes the strap for you to hold on to them. Also, be sure to take a few toys and books, but I have found that I tend to over do it sometimes, and will try to pack lighter. A big favorite is the small magnadoodle! I would for sure get her some comfortable water/sand shoes, as it can be great to feel the sand in your toes, but not the shells etc that we may know to watch out for ourselves. I really think the ones at childrens place look the best. Also, be sure you have a small first aid kit with cute bandaids, and neosporin etc. I also pack motrin, and for sure benadryl...you never know when they will have an allergic reaction to something. Especially if there is a chance she could get stung by a jelly fish. I have never used the cloth swim diapers, I dont really want to have to wash out or carry around a soiled "diaper", but I have also never had a problem with swim diapers keeping "things in". Ohh, one final thing, I would for sure have a cute water bottle, or straw type sippy cup to keep her hydrated. Hmm that is it for now, I will be taking my 13 month old to the beach soon, so I hope to be well prepared too. Good luck ~A.~
