We are planning our first trip to the beach Monday for my daughter's 2nd birthday. We went last year several times and she loved it and I am looking forward to taking her since she is so much more aware of things. The only thing that we were missing last year, in my opinion, was a good beach umbrella to block some of the sun so we could stay longer and be comfortable eating on the beach without the sun beating down on us. I have tried to research this online with no luck. My daughter only has so much tolerance for being drug around from store to store shopping for things so I am looking for some suggestions of where in the Charleston area would be the best place to go for a beach umbrella, Walmart? Target? Thanks for any advice.
Do you do any camping? When we go to the beach we just bring our screened in room (that we usually put around the table) and then secure the front flaps open...works great and I love it because we made do with what we had, instead of buying more STUFF!
Im not sure if there is a Costco in your area but they are there currently and are around $15. Very nice ones too...with a carrying case that has a shoulder strap.
Really, you might do better looking for O. at the beach. Also, be sure to buy O. of those little sand corkscrew things--makes it so much easier to dig it in. Have fun!
I have a sports umbrella and it is great it 8ft around and you can lay it on its side it has two spots to open for ventilation and stake in the ground with the adjustable pole.Try home depot or menards. I got mine at a Sam's club but have seen in the sporting good stores about $50.
