I need your advice and suggestions!! My extended family and I are looking to book a vacation on the beach for next summer. We are needing at least sleeping for 11, ON the beach (not across the street or anything), preferably a pool and pet friendly. Where would you recommend? So far I"ve looked at Indian Pass and Panama City, FL as well as South Carolina. We PREFER somewhere off the beaten path, not touristy, don't want a town house, etc. Thanks!!!!

Topsail Beach, NC! It's a small town on Topsail Island and there's plenty of oceanfront houses for rent. Not a touristy place and rentals are pretty reasonable. I have been going to Topsail Island since I was a kid. Still love it.
The Outer Banks in NC. Has many great beach front rentals with a pool right on the beach. We rented one that easily slept 14 in bedrooms and had 2 futons in the basement game room for additional sleeping if necessary.
Check Trip Advisor.com, they have lots of reviews and pictures.
There are so many nice beaches along the eastern coast and Florida, Decide where you want to go first and then check out different websites like:

We rented a place on St George Island, FL a few years ago. It was great! We were right on the beach, with nothing separating us from the water but sand. I can't remember the name of the rental agency though... But it was a small-town (it was a bit touristy though...) and not very busy. We were able to walk wherever we wanted to go (if we wanted) our place let us bring two dogs, 7 of us lived there comfortably for a week (and had two spare beds), had a hot tub and pool table. Also, the houses were spaced far enough apart that the beach wasn't crowded at all. Seriously, it was like having our own private beach. It was great. :)
