Back to Collage, I Need Help with My Memory!

I don't know what is wrong with me, I always had to try a little harder to study and remember stuff specially because English is my second language and many terms where new to me.
But this time is almost impossible to keep anything.
One of my class is Algebra, I love Algebra, and I use to be very good at it, but now, I just can't remember anything I read.
Is not that I understand, I understand everything, I just can't remember, not even after I read it just 5 minutes ago!
Is kind of scary, I am just 32, and my younger kid is already 2 and sleeping through the night. When I had my first one I stop studding and start working but I don't remember having any memories issues.
Do anybody knows what can cause memory problems? Is this part of having a baby? Is it possible have bad memory at 32? Do anybody knows of any natural or over the counter medicine/vitamins that can help improve memory?
Thanks.

What can I do next?

It is very common for any mom (or the parent that is most in charge of caring for the kids and the household) to forget things or not remember things minutes or even seconds after saying/doing something.

It has to do with the stress of your brain going through multi-tasking. It has been said that women are better multi-taskers then men... well I just learned that NO BRAIN is meant to multi-task, it is designed to do one thing and focus on that till it is complete and move on. When we push and try to do many different things, pushing ourselves to have longer days, get more done in a day and rushing around for everything it is actually DIONG DAMAGE to our BRAIN & MEMORY. After so much stress you will have a high risk for heart attacks, panic attacks, depression and break downs.

There are things that have been mentioned to "help" with memory BUT if you do not slow down and focus on LESS your memory will not get better. I know in today's world (especially in the USA) it is hard to say I am just going to focus on this and not do the million other things or worry about them AND that is what is leading many into an unhappy life.

Lost of memory is a sign of stress... and if nothing is not done about the stress bigger health issues might start to pop up AND your memory will not improve. Trust me I have been dealing with this for the past 4 years, trying to work full-time be a SAHM, taking online classes, involved in various volunteering things, cleaning the house and cooking dinner every day! My body said ENOUGH and I started to get panic attacks and black out, the past 6 months I have had to de-stress my life, do less multi-tasking and I am only 28!! Now this may not be the full cause of your memory retention but will be a factor and MOMS need to wake up and stop doing so much and multi-tasking.

I can't help you with any medicine but perhaps I can help you with studying. What techniques do you currently use to remember things? I have a masters and a doctorate so I had been in school for a long time and also struggled with memory.

I put in a lot of hours of studying. But I felt that if you are not maximizing how you studied then you are wasting your time. For some classes like math I would practice over and over.
I found I could read and understand but I could not remember it either. If it was a memory class I would make note cards and go over repetitively until I had them down. I would also re-write my notes over and over until I could do it from memory. Not all at once but a few sentences at a time (such as a power point slide). I also felt that studying every day is imperative. So when you have your class that night go over your notes from that day. On the weekend go over all of your notes.

Also talk with someone at your school and maybe they can share their study techniques.

Good luck!

I am having this problem... I am failing at math and it's awful.

This online school through BYU has free refresher courses... it should help you with those basics and you can go at your own pace, I know I will be doing the math ones.

As for memory loss... you maybe being over tired, kids to keep your mind occupied, not enough sleep, low estrogen levels, side effects of some medications... all things can contribute to that. Here is some info that may be helpful for you:
