We use www.babysites.com. You can set it to private and give the logon and password to only those you would like to see. We use it and we LOVE it. You can also check to see who all has logged in to see your childs site. Good Luck!!
I am looking to set up a website for my daughter, but I want it to be secure. I don't want just anyone to be able to look up pictures of her. Does anyone have any suggestions or any sites they used and liked?
Thanks!

there is a great website called blogspot. you can write about what's going on with your family and put up pictures. i have on set up so my family from out of town knows what's going on. you can set up privacy on it too.
You could start a private myspace page.
There's also a site called blogspot.com
I use babysites. I know they have different levels of security for viewing pictures. They are free for a certain amount of space and after that they charge. I beleive after the first year the baby pics and journal can eb put on a cd.
I 100% recommend using shutterfly.com. You can uplaod all your pics then chose to share them via a website that is password portected. Relatives can buy prints easily. I have been using it now for 9 months since Cole was born and have gotten great feedback. You are provided with room to write a little blurb about what is happening then you can download the latest pics.
Best of luck!
Babiesonline has a site and you can secure it with a password. This is the site I use for both of my children. Hope that helps you out.

SmugMug.com is the greatest. It's $35/year, but you can set the level of security you prefer, there is no SPAM for you or anyone who views your photos, and you can order prints on-line.
It's awesome. If you are interested, I can give you a referral code that will get you $5 off the first year.

My bestfriend uses totsites.com
You use www.myspace.com. You can set your profile to private so that only people you add as your friends can view it. Also has blogging features and lets you really customize your page. Lots of people already have Myspace accounts, so this might be easier than you think.

Many of my friends have used babysites.com. I don't know if they are secure or not, but all my friends are very very happy with it.
Good luck!

Bundlesofjoy.com is the one I use. It is free. They give you a password protection option to let only those with a username and password that you give out view your site.
go on yahoo.com & click on the groups section. You can make it so people have to request to be a member & you can invite people too. We have one for our family. Its great b/c you can put up polls, calendar & people can post cxomments & share picts of their own families.
I use a super site called www.dropshots.com. It doesn't have a specific area to blog, but you can put comments on individual pictures. It can be password protected, if you choose. They have free memberships up to life time membership for $99.
I love it. It is a great way to share photos with family and friends. It takes no more time than simply dragging your photos into the dropshots software window that you download.
Good Luck!
I know some people who use aboutmybaby.com you can set it to be locked or public.

We used the aboutmybaby.com website. You have the option to name your website whatever you'd like (unless that name is already being used) and you can also set it up so that it's password protected and only those people that know the address and the password can get it. We loved the website and our out-of-town family members were so excited to read our son's journals and see weekly pictures.
I use shutterfly.com for pictures. You send emails to people you want to see the pics. My sister uses Kodak's site. These are both more user friendly unless you're a web site designer.
