It's kind of weird. When I was a kid (I'm 45) most kids lost their teeth in 2nd grade or so, around age 7. You can look at kids pictures back then and see many 2nd grade photos with toothless smiles and by 3rd grade they have their big teeth photos, lol.
Today it seems like kids are losing them at a younger age, around age 5 or 6.
My 24 year old lost his top for teeth in the same week at age 7. Freaking hilarious when he talked. Had to video tape that. And hilarious to watch him eat on the side of his mouth, lol.
My 16 year old lost his first tooth at around age 6 or so.
With my triplets who are now 6 1/2, my daughter has already lost 3 teeth. She lost her first at age 5 1/2, nearly 6. She's got 3 loose teeth that are taking their time to be ready to pull. Her third tooth that she lost some time ago still is a hole sitting there. She was a bit bummed cuz many girls in her class has lost more teeth than her and lost them much earlier, which I thought was odd. Both of the other two boys of mine haven't lost one yet although they've had a loose tooth barely and hasn't moved more in a while.
**I forgot to add what we did with them, lol. When one of our kids lose a tooth we put it in a tiny zip lock bag with their name and date on it. They put it under their pillow and put money in its place while they're sleeping. Our older boys got .50. Now adays you can't buy much for that so my husband insisted on $1 a tooth! I reminded him that we do have triplets! LOL That's a lot of cash at the end of the day. We save the teeth in our safe deposit box and if they want them when they're older they can have them or do whatever they want.
