Baby Shower Games That Include Kids

My son and daughter are in a combined 1st/2nd grade class, and their teacher is due in July. I was asked my one of the other teachers to help organize a shower for her. I am looking for shower games that could include kids from 1st to 6th grade. It's a small school and the older kids want to be involved also. We will only have about 1-1.5 hours so it can't be something too long.
Thank you for your suggestions! :-)

Well there is the classic: Look in the paper bag for 30 seconds and pass it... then after it goes around the room, everyone tries to write down the items they saw in the bag. But you might have issues with the younger ones writing down the words adequately for the game.

I have seen a bingo game, where you make the bingo cards with items that the mom-to-be receives... she opens a pair of socks, and if your card has socks on it, you mark it off. 5 in a row is bingo. BUT, if you aren't having gifts for her or don't have a lot of gifts/attendees, not sure how that would turn out. :/

I am stumped. Never really been to a baby shower geared for kids.... Seems like an odd request in a way... (not your question, but the request to help with a "shower" for the kids to attend.)

We have done this at a few of both baby and wedding showers. You get the cheap plain white paper plates and give everyone a pen or pencil. Then you tell them to put the plate on TOP of their head, and without looking, they have to draw a pic of what they think the baby will look like. (wedding shower is draw a pic of the bride). When they are done, they put their name on the back and then they are all given to the mom (or the bride) and without looking at who drew them, she picks the one she likes the best and they win a prize. Good luck!

For the sake of the momma, don't play the string game around the belly. It's awful for the pregnant woman. I know getting big is part of getting pregnant, it really isn't funny to the mom to have people guess how big she is. The kids may have a good time playing the guess the baby food flavor game. But I like the onesie idea, but that can get expensive depending on how many kids. You can also have the kids write down some advice for the new mom. It maybe interesting and funny to see what a 6 year old's advice is to a new mom about having a baby.

At the last shower I co-hosted, we had plain white onsies, with fabric markers and stencils. All the kids had a blast decorating onsies for the baby.

Here are a couple of cute ideas I found online:

Baby Bottle Bingo: By making up some baby-themed bingo cards ahead of time, you'll have a simple game on hand for kids of all ages. Keep the bingo squares patterned with visual icons, rather than words, so that pre-readers can get in on the fun of this baby shower game. Award prizes of small 4-ounce baby bottles filled with candy, marshmallows or organic fruit snacks to the winners (and bring plenty to hand out to the losers, too.)

Baby Animal Trivia: Did you know baby sharks are called "pups" and baby doves are "squabs?" Chances are good that most children won't know the names to more exotic baby animals, and a fun baby shower game of trivia can be a great learning -- and laughing -- experience. Make up flashcards with these fun facts ahead of time, and quiz the kids at the shower.

Good Luck!

kids might enjoy this game - I played it once at a shower and it was pretty funny - you take a ball of yarn or string and everyone cuts the length they think it will take to go around the pregnant person. whoever gets the closest wins. of course it's much more fun the farther along the person is....
