To be quite honest with you, I've never received ANY (non-chocolate) favor at ANY event that I thought was useful & actually kept.
I really thank party favors have run amok, and would be happy never to get any.
Okay everyone any good shower gift ideas? I am looking for something not too expensive but cute, thoughtful, and that the guests may enjoy!! Thank you for your feedback!

Yes to favors, very classy. it depends on the theme.
Classical music CDs / replace the label
Cake mix or muffin mix / make a label.
Ducky shape: soap, candle, cookie cutter.
Godiva chocolate
I had the water bottle for my shower too. it was very inexpensive and very cute. For my wedding we made a donation to Make-A-Wish and was given a very nice scroll that stated that a donation was made. It was very nice to know we didn't waste money on nonsense that was just going to get tossed.
I'll make a suggestion as to what NOT to get, I went to a shower and they had antibacterial hand gel in all colors with a printed label that alluded to being clean when they handled the new baby. On one hand it was something that is helpful to have, on the other hand, the messaging was offensive to me and some of the other guests at the shower. Maybe people don't realize they have to have clean hands when they handle a baby, but I thought it was up there with "common knowledge". I peeled the label off, I was so ticked. I felt like a caveman or something.
At my baby shower, they handed out bottled water with a home made custom label, which was something people could consume and not keep around for long, and recycle.
I'm sure you'll get lots of great ideas, and have fun with the plans.
I don't think favors are needed, but I have seen a very cute candy pacifier idea. You start with a white chocolate meltable disc (or non pareil). On one side you melt a spot and squeeze on a lifesaver "handle". On the other side, you melt a spot and squeeze on a jelly bean "sucker". And viola, a pacifier! Good luck and remember to have fun!
I agree, no favors needed. That being said I say some cute sweet tart type candy in a bulk section that were tiny rattles. Cute.. but not necessary.
Best shower favor EVER?
Truffles & Smoke Salt Caramels.
