Growing up in CA, I babysat a girl named Addison, and loved that name. Unfortunately, in North Dallas, people might think she named her after a city! Other unique names that I've heard of are Raney, Pilar, Farrah, Jordan, Devon...
My little sis is having a baby girl in Jan/Feb. She was talking about names today and gave me a few of their ideas. They want a name for a girl, but nothing to girlish. Something unique. Cody was one of their choices (which I like), but the other name they came up with was Jersey, yes Jersey as in football jersey. I almost fell out of my chair! Anyone have any good name suggestions that I can pass on to my sis?

I dont really like Cody for a girl, but whatever they like is all that matters. I really like the name Scout for a girl. My sisters babys name is Gypsy and she gets a lot of compliments. And my sisters name is Jayd and she gets lots of compliments too.
We named our son Sage and are now finding girls with the same name (Saige). I have also heard of girls named Ryan, Dylan, Tristan, and Sean.
I fell in love with the name Meara (pronounced "Mee-ruh") but never thought everyone who read my daughter's name would say "Mee-are-uh."
I think Merrin is a very pretty name. Also, there are some really pretty, unique Welsh names: http://www.babynames.org.uk/welsh-girl-baby-names.htm
But, again, people will mispronounce; some of the letter pronunciations are different from english. For instance, their Meredydd is our Meredith.
Best wishes to your sister! :)
(I'm laughing about "Dinner Plate" HILARIOUS!!)
Greer is my hands-down favorite non-foufy baby name. I think it's lovely and charming and classy. I picked really feminine names for my own daughters, but I definitely see the appeal of simpler ones. A friend of a friend named her little girl Harper and I thihk that's a lovely choice, too. Have you sent your sister to Babynamewizard.com? It's really fun.

You should try to find names at http://www.babynamescube.com
This is a large baby naming website. You will get lots of choices there.
When I was in high school, my dream girl name was Kirby.
Martie for a girl is cute too.

Paityn, Rilee, Reagan, Keegan, Preston, Dilan, Kyle.
It doesn't matter what suggestions you can come up with. They'll even name their kid "Dinner Plate" if they want to :-)
I'm due in Feb. too!!! I've chosen Payton if I end up having a girl! I also really like Eden, Audrey, and Aurora (Rory for short).
Charli, arianna (ari), addison, peyton, marnie, aiden
I love the name Cody, but I really like the name Emma. Something about that name seems so sweet??
