Baby Monitor!!!??!!? - American Fork,UT

I just want to caution you all on those baby monitors......We had one and so did one of our neighbors. They all work on the same frequency and some on the same as cell phones. We were able to hear the entire conversation going on in our neighbors house!! I think it is kinda funny because parents rely on them so much that they forget that just going every half hour or so to check on your little one is just as good!! You don't need technology to care for your sleeping child!

Safety First ones SUCK! At least, that's been my experience. I was on the phone with customer service for like an hour, and the girl told me all sorts of things to do, and all the stupid thing did was buzz. So I gave it to my friend to try out, and even though she only lives 4 doors down, she said it works fine. I don't get it.

Anyway, after having poor luck with 3 monitors, I learned that I don't need a baby monitor at all. Try not having one for a while and see how it goes. We have a fairly big 2 story house, and it turns out I can hear the baby just fine.

I am not too sure about the lighting and all but I do live in a trailer. I don't know if that affects your monitor at all but the ones I have from Fisher Price are awesome. I don't really have much interference. I don't think they are too expensive. So I hope at least that helped.

I had the same problem unless they were plugged directly into a wall outlet ie no extension cords lol

Buy a digital one. I found mine at Walmart for fairly cheap. Go digital all the way. Love this one TONS better than the last one I had!!
