www.babycenter.com (then click on "Shop Now" to get to the store) is AWESOME. And this month they have free shipping with any order over $29. Although they may still charge an "oversize package" fee since it's a heavier item to ship.
I am looking for a baby gates or let's say several.. that are GOOD, not the cruddy ones that can be easily knocked over or damage the wall.. I have searched everywhere online. They NEED to be for a WIDE opening

That's where you'll find any gate you need.
We have a two story house with weird angles and hallways, so we actually ended up getting three gates for our house. We found some really awesome gates at Toys R Us, didn;t even need to buy "extensions" which seemed to be the deal with other gates we tried/looked at. One gate we bought didn;t fit with the maximum amount of extensions! Anyway, they are made by Summer Infant, Inc. and we got them at Toys R Us for about $60.00 a piece. this is the item # off the babies R us website: Item #: 935533
Oklahoma Childproofers has gates that can be customized for wide or irregular gate openings. ###-###-####
I used Kidco brand gates and they worked well for our family. You can go online to kidco.com or I think they have them at Babies r us. You will find more options online though(think).
try walmart or target they might have what you are looking for
My husband and I got tired of replacing baby gate after baby gate due to my kids breaking them :( My kids are 1, 3, and 5 years old so you can just picture that poor baby gate torn to pieces :)
My husband built one and it still didnt stand up to my kids so he went to lowes and spent $60.00 , yes, $60.00 on a nice strong baby gate it has two brackets that screw into the wall and the baby gate can swing open both ways and you can take the baby gate away totaly and be able to come back later and slid it back into place in just seconds. Its actualy a " top of the stairs baby gate "
We have had it for more than 6 months and its still standing :)
Babies r us has a great selection. One Step Ahead was a great suggestion too!
