I'm new to the Dallas area, and I'm looking for good places to buy a crib and other baby furniture.

What can I do next?

I have lots of gently used baby stuff. I also have a crib that I bought at Sears 2 years ago and has probably been used 5 times. It still looks brand new and I'm willing to sell it for $100. Let me know if you're interested.

Hi, P.,

Not sure of the area that you are in, but "Once Upon A Child" is good place as well to purchase cribs or other baby items.

If you are interested in a Pack-N-Play, I have one that I want to sell. It has the changing portion as well. It is two years old and only used it a few times and still looks like new. It also has the cd holder and speaker to hook up a cd player to so the baby can listen to music if you want them to hear music while they sleep or play. I am asking $45 and I also have a crib for $25, that includes the mattress. Need the room. If interested please call me at ###-###-####.

Thanks
T.

P., where in CT are you from? I moved here 3 years ago from CT. I grew up in Hebron, CT...but have also lived in Fairfield and Bolton.

I realize this is a late response. We are on a 6 week trip to Mass/CT right now and have not been very good about checking email.

P.,

Depending on how much you want to spend on a nursery really determines where you would go. I got ALL of my nursery and bedding from Magic Moon. They have 2 locations (Plano, Southlake). I shopped around and found their stuff to be really unique and very sturdy. Also they give you the option to "design" whatever you want.
It is definitely worth the drive.

Hope that Helps!

We had good luck finding an affordable, yet great quality crib at Baby Depot which is a section inside Burlington Coat Factory. Here is a link to their website: http://www.burlingtoncoatfactory.com/
The Dallas store is just off 635:
BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY WHSE
400 NORTH TOWN MALL

US

Babies R Us also has a great selection of items:

And Target carries a few cribs, changing tables, etc...

Congratulations and good luck!

If you are wanting new furniture, I recommend Baby USA off 75 and Royal. And if you would like to buy gently used you can look on craig's list: http://dallas.craigslist.org, and you will find great deals from personal owners all over the place.

I would agree that USA Baby has nice furniture, but it is pricey. There is one in Frisco, too. Also, Babies R Us has some nice furniture and some that is more economical. Depending on where you are located, there should be one fairly near. You can check the Babies R Us website for locations.

Good Luck! And welcome to Dallas!
