I am looking for some natural home remedies for my baby. She has a mild case of eczema. I've heard of oatmeal in the bath. Also, chamomile tea in the bath? My pediatrician said to rub her down w/olive oil after bath. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Olive oi - seriously? I never heard of that. Both of my children had eczema as well, we would use Eucerine (available at Costco) Vaseline and 1% Hydrocortizone (also available at Costco in a 4pk). Our doctor suggested not to bath them each night; now that they are older and play hearder we have to but head and shoulders works great with dryness on their head as well as their bodies - not to be used as body wash, but using it and rinsing it will have benefits on their body. I am sure you will get lots of great tips. I just hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!

My daughter also has eczema. She is now 7 and I have come a long way and tried may things. The best thing that helped me when she was a baby was Aquaphor. You can almost anywhere. The only thing is that it caused her to be greasy looking all the time. Now I have her on Arbonne baby line. The soap, lotion and sunscreen. I now don't have to treat her patches of eczema. These products are natural and have no dies...etc. I don't sell it, I am just a firm supporter because it has worked for her. I currently buy from a friend. Hope this helps! :) A. O

Another inexpensive solution is Vaseline. It absorbs into the skin and you see a difference. I was also told not to bathe my son everyday, just a sponge bath lightly.

I hope that I was able to help you.

Hi A.! I saw your post about your baby suffering from eczema. I am an Independent Consultant for Arbonne, a Swiss Skin Care company specializing in pure, safe and beneficial products. We have an amazing baby line that works wonders on eczema! I have children AND adults using it actually.

Our baby products do not contain any chemicals, dyes or chemical fragrances. They also do not contain any mineral oil, which is important in healing eczema. It allows the skin to absorb the moisturizing ingredients.

I would be happy to send you a sample if you are interested. Please let me know!

Take care and best of luck with your little one!

Good morning A.,

I believe I have just the thing for you! I was watching Oprah a few years ago and got this tip . . . Bordreaux's Butt Paste - it's great for diaper rash and more! I gave some to a friend with eczema on her and it healed right up. I purchased this at Walmart - couldn't find it and had to ask the pharmacist - but thankfully he knew what it was. ; ) Hope this helps you!

Both of my children have eczema. I am using Stelatopia by Mustela and Aquaphor at the same time. They are both just moisturizers but the two in conjunction seem to keep their eczema at bay.
