You are a very thoughtful friend.
Personally, the baby carrier just wasn't something I wanted.
What I really could have used? Help. My husband worked long hours and he drove most of the day, so he needed sleep (didn't want him wrecking and lazying around a hospital getting meals and baths...that's sad when you see a hospital as a place of rest, huh?). We didn't have any family available to help me with the twins and I was exhausted.
Another gal mentioned help with cleaning and a dinner round-up, I completely agree. I would take it one step further and offer to come over or set up a group of people who can rotate so that the new mom can get some rest. Really, just having some rest would have been enough to give me some pep.
Just a thought. Have a great day!
