I like Cruz Santiago. To me it is more important that the first and last name sound good together. Who ever really gets called by their first and middle name unless they are in trouble? :)
So I thought we had a name picked out but I am thinking it won't work-it was going to be Cruz Anthony but I don't like the way it sounds-My husband is dead set however on having Cruz be the first name. I like Anthony Cruz or even Santiago Cruz. I just can't think of any names where Cruz is first that sound great. Hubby is hispanic and I am caucasian and we want 1 name to be hispanic, the other to be European or at least 2 names that are hispanic and easy to say(for my family)! You guys always have great names! 5 weeks to go though and no name set in stone yet!

My mother, my uncle, my sister, and my daughter all go by their middle name. I vote for Cruz as a middle, but the nickname he goes by. But if you must have it as a first, I like Cruz Anthony (of course, without knowing your last name, it's a little hard to tell for sure. Just hope your last name isn't Control).
Cruz Milan (pronounced like the city in Italy)
I was thinking of maybe using a different name with the nickname Cruz. I googled it and others came up with Charles, Christoper or Cristian. Cruz means Cross, so Cristian may work. For what it's worth, I went to school with a kid name Jeremy and he had everyone call him Bob.
My good friend's son is Cruz. I like Cruz Anthony better than Anthony Cruz! I think it sounds best with a longer middle name, but what really matters is how it sounds with your last name! I also like Cruz with diego, Dominic, donovan, Gabriel, Isaiah, Isaac, Jacob, Jeremiah, Joaquin, kalen, Landon, Mateo, Michael, Nathaniel, Oliver, Preston, porter, Ryan, Roberto, Sebastian, Samuel, santiago, Taylor, thiago, William, Xavier. Congrats!
How about Cruz Antonio? Benjamin? Alexander? James? Gabriel?
Anthony Cruz would be AWESEOME
Something about the harshness of the "z" in Cruz makes putting it first sound odd to my ears.
You don't have to put Cruz first to use it as a first name. My mother, my uncle and two cousins all use their middle name as their "first name". My mom says it is a pain in the neck sometimes (school, credit cards, etc) but it's just a name!
I do agree with you that Cruz will be hard to match up with something else after it. But I do like Cruz as a name :) Good luck!
Cruz Nicholas
Cruz Joshua
Cruz Julian
Cruz David
Cruz Austin
For me, it depends on what the last name is and how it all sounds together.
Good luck!
I like Anthony Cruz too. Cruz IS hard to match with a middle name like you say. My thoughts maybe are Cruz Nicholas, Cruz Jose, Cruz Alberto. Any family name you have that you like too?
This question was asked a couple days ago. Maybe some good suggestions. This mom wanted a hispanic name, but one easy enough to pronounce in English too. http://www.mamapedia.com/questions/3207163554071511041
Eduardo Cruz or Edward Cruz or Cruz Eduard? Christopher Cruz? Cruz Robert or Robert Cruz or Roberto Cruz? Cruz Donavon?
It's hard to give advice not knowing your last name or how things will flow.
I think Cruz Anthony is nice.
When I was little, one of my best friends was named Ruben. How about Cruz Ruben?
Names are so hard. My daughter was 4 days old before dad and I agreed. Doing birth certificates at a hospital, I've seen people take even longer.
Try not to stress too much over it. If nothing else, when you see your precious baby perhaps you will know exactly what suits him.
Best wishes!
