HELP...I'm freakin out. My baby who is a 7month baby boy has acne all over both cheeks today. He has had some pimples lately but they have erupted in redness and size.
What does that mean?
What do I do?
What did I do wrong?
How long will it last?
Does this mean he will have trouble as a teen?
Uhhhh, so sad Momma

My son got this at about 5 months old. You didn't do anything wrong, it just happens. It could have been a change in climate as the cooler weather sets in, humitity levels, oiliness to the face, etc.
We just cleaned his face with water on a wash cloth gently a couple of times a day. Within 3 days (the only reason I remember it was that long is that we noticed it on a Friday, and said we were going to take him into the doc on Monday if it wasn't better) it was much better, completely gone in a week or so. If it is just baby acne, and not a rash or something else, it should go away pretty quickly. My son is now 3 1/2 and he has never had another problem.
It happens, my son had it every where for a while ... the worse thing is that I am a picker ... I pick at everything all the time and I do enjoy popping zits! Ew I know but hey! So it was hard to not touch his, I just used a gentle cleaner and moisturizer (all natural) it clears up on its own and then comes back when it wants to. You are just fine! Oh and I would not worry about teen acne just yet!
my kids had baby acne.. but they were about 3 or 4 weeks old. I would see the dr.. just in case it is not baby acne.. I dont think baby acne is at 7 months.. someone posted a question about baby acne a while back.. and there were tons of answers everyone did somehting different and the acne went away. which makes me believe that if you do nothing it will go away..in time.. wash his face as you normally do.. check in with the dr.. and I but it will go away in a week or so.
Hi my daughter had it as well her doctor said to use eucerin lotion and it cleared it up right away.
My son had eczema as a baby, and there were times that it looked like acne. If it's been going on for a while, it could be do to new foods in his diet, or just the change in weather lately. Try some unscented cleansers and moisturizers, and keep track to see if it's related to food. GL!
probably just allergies that will resolve themselves or he is working your hormones out of his body. It happened with my 2nd daughter.....it lasted less than a week.
I doubt it has anything to do with what he will have later in life.
