Last month and this month I've been.dealing with a lot of stress due to impending divorce and husband having possible affair. So much so I was late by 2 days last month and Im 2 days late this cycle so far. The strange thing is, last month and this month I would have severe cramps so instead of wearing a pad, I put in tampon. Give it I had no flow so I didn't keep it in longer than 4 hrs yet when I took it out, there WAS "flow" so I know I've "started" my period but why has she not shown herself? The cramps last month and this month are miserable and the showing up late scares me. I don't have to have sex and if Im late yes I freak out my husband impregnated me in my sleep or Im deathly ill. So, any advice or help would be comforting. I've always been on time or at least a day early so my cycles acting this way for past 2 moths is very odd. And when she does show up, aunt flow shows up in full force...no spotting or anything....just BAM.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

After praying hard to the Lord this morning for aunt flow to show her ugly head, I woke up 4 hrs later (went back to bed after taking young one to school)......there she was. And again hit me with terrible cramps, boating, body aches, etc.
I have lost 30 lbs in last 7 mths due to many dental surgeries and not being able to eat. I will definitely keep the parsley trick in.mind next tome. I just wish she showed up 2 days ago because Im supposed to have a very busy weekend and don't want her interrupting.
Thanks mamas!!

Stress can really mess things up not only with your cycle but your whole body. Our cycle does change a little from time to time too. You are just stressed but to ease your mind you might consider going to have a check up once you know it is just stress you can learn ways to cope with it a little better and feel better. So sorry about your divorce and also that your husband may have cheated those are very hard to deal with.

Yep, its from stress. Your body is probably not able to relax as well, and tightening up those muscles, would explain the cramping. Has your diet changes as well? Are you drinking enough water each day? That could play into the change as well. I would see how it is next month, and if its the same or worse, I would consult your Obgyn.

Stress no doubt! All the things in your life plus worrying about your period. As far as the tampons go, I can't wear them. They literally stop my periods and no doc can tell me why. If I use them it will atop my period and then I wont have one for a month?? Sometimes our bodies just do weird things!

It's stress, yes, but there is something you can do.

I suggest a strong tea made with fresh parsley leaves. Lightly sweetened, it tastes nice (like a very green tea) and stimulates a natural period. There are no side effects to using parsley, nor will it interact negatively with any drugs.
