ATTN: iPod Touch 3Rd Generation Owners

Go to www.ihomeaudio.com and click on home audio. Check out model IP9 that comes in 5 different colors (pink, purple,blue, silver, black). They are alarm clock radios with ipod docks/chargers (love their dual purpose!). According to the technical features, you can buy an insert to fit iPod 3rd generation. I just purchased these on sale at JCPenny.com for my daughters (pink & purple!). These units got good reviews and are suppose to have surprisingly good sound quality. I looked into flat panel speaker stereos with ipod docks, but most of the reviews I read on them complained of static when charging iPods - except for Bose, but the kiddos aren't getting one of those before I do : ) One of my daughters likes to go to sleep to music. She will love the sleep feature on the IPN that gradually dims the music when going to sleep! Hope this helps!

What I was told at the apple store is that if you just want it to work for music than any of them will work. If you want it to work for charging then it has to be compatible to the iphone.

Search for a dock at the apple store, and it will list which iPods or iTouches it will work for.

I'd go over to Best Buy. The people there always know what they're talking about and there's a store in just about every neighborhood so you won't have to look around for an Apple store.
