Are you ready for the kids to return to school? I love having my kids home. It would be great if they were home one week.
We had 3 parties at our house over the last 3 weeks. Saw lots of relatives and friends and not enough snow.

What can I do next?

No, but I'm ready for hubby to go back to work! We had 20 inches of snow last week and the 4 of us stuck in the house for a few days. Need I say more? LOL.

We had two weeks off and I took most of that off work. I am so NOT ready for them to go back to school! We had a fun fun break. I hate that it's ending!

Nope. So we're going to take an extra week. Of course, we homeschool, so I just had to have a conference with the teacher, principal, and school board the other morning while brushing my teeth and the decision was made unanimously. (Old Joke: what do you call it when a homeschooler is talking to themselves? A parent teacher conference).

It'll be nice to get back into things... but I'm glad for the extra time.

SOOOO READY!!!!
I love my children just as much as the next person. But, we got a little bit of snow, which puts our city at a stand still, and we are dying of cabin fever here! Last week we had playdates every day and it was great fun, but this week we are struggling a bit.
Besides, my kids both love 2nd grade and pre-school They miss their buddies!
I am having a baby in 3 days or less...maybe I am a bit more excited about school starting so I can have a couple of naps before my world is turned upside down.

I'm never ready for my son to go back, but I'm a single mom who works and he is a sophomore in high school. He is pretty social at school and misses his friends.
It's tough getting back into the routine, but it's the routine....none the less.
Plus, he had a huge world history assignment due on Monday so we are excited about him getting that turned in. He should be getting an excellent grade.
I think it's just this time of year. It's always hard knowing it's over and life goes back to normal. That's the reality of the situation for us anyway.

Best wishes.

No. It's been nice having some more family time and just hanging out in our pj's. There's been a lot less stress in our lives this past week.

OMG I Love Riley's joke about the homeschooler talking to himself...... I was ROFL!

Yah, I'm ready but yet not. It was nice having my daughter home everyday... for 2 weeks. I had play-dates for her/my son every single day. Literally.
And she had 1 party.
It was a blast.
But yet, yes, it will be nice to get back to the normal week day routines.
Sort of. And all the waiting errands/chores/drudgery...

Guess I'm in the minority here but yes I am! My daughter is going to be 5yrs old this month and she is a handful. We got a cat two days after christmas and I have been after her to leave the kitty alone!! Stop chasing the cat! Plus, other than today we have been going all week so she has been extra crabby about that. I'm off work this week so while I loved getting the extra time, I didn't love the naughty behavior. I'm not ready to go back to work, but I'm ready to send my daughter back to school.

Not ready to get up early again.... but yes, I'm ready for school and work!! I love having my family home and all, but both my hubby and my 9 year old have been off all week and I've been babysitting a 7 year old. I'm ready for my 3 year old and myself to get back to normal schedule.

No, I'm not. I'm really pissed because I wound up doing a lot of work from home that I wasn't supposed to do over this break, and I feel like I haven't had enough time with them. We've gotten to do lots of fun things, but I would like to be out another week with them. I do agree with Denise P though -it would be just fine for hubby to go back to work!

We've had a lot of fun in the past few weeks, but I'm ready for our routine again. Not so much that the kids are gone (they're only in preschool a couple of days per week), but that we have a routine again. Naps/bedtimes have been all over the place and I'm exhausted!

I always hate September when the kids return after the summer -- have not thought so much about it for the Christmas break -- but always love the down-time :)

No and thanks for asking this question. I LOVE having my kid home and hearing that other moms love having their kids home too. It would be great to have another week without all the commitments of the holidays.

I love having my kids home, they are still little (7 & 5) and I still feel like they are being 'taken' from me, when it comes to 'having' to go to school! :(

~My teenage nephews and stepsons? Yes! Yes! and Yes! I am SO ready...they are LOUD and EXPENSIVE and always have LOTS of plans and either need to be taken somewhere to do something OR are HOGGING the TV playing XBOX LIve and EATING everything in the HOUSE!!

I guess I'm different. Of course, I enjoy extra time with my child. But, yes, I'm ready for the school routine, but I'm more anxious to see my hubby go back to work--he's been off since Dec 21st.

Soooooo ready for that.......it isn't even funny.

Yes, I am ready. My dh has off from work their first two days of school after the vacation. I love having them home, don't get me wrong, but the variations in their yearly schedules sets a comfortable pace for all of us.
