My kids are going to King's Dominion today with a friend....I feel like even though I am at home - I'm in a car on a long trip....every five minutes...is it time to leave yet?!?

Ever have one of those days when you just wanna push the clock forward?!?!?!?

What can I do next?

Kings Dominion is a roller coaster park similar to Six Flags....

If I were your friend I would find a ride where you can see the entrance and exit from a bench. Send them in, watch them come out, send them in again...lather rinse repeat for as long as they fall for it. :p

I'd like to push the clock forward about a month & a half, but I also need my apartment to be cleaned & organized!! LOL Hubby will be coming home from his deployment :)

Shorter term, I'm looking forward to lunch with coworkers in a couple hours. I'm hungry! We are actually celebrating the fact that today is the last day that some outsourced (out of country) help will be working with us. They have been more of a pain than a help!!! Ahhhh! lol

I'm feeling that right now.
I keep thinking.."is it nap time yet?"
My kids are extra active and in a "hey lets bug mommy every 3 seconds" phase.
I'm trying to talk to my MIL and All I get is my son saying "mom mom mom mom mom moooom" I say "yes>?" He goe s"Hi mom" ...seriously?
then my daughter is on a I just want to hug my mommy thing. Dont get me wrong I LOVE LOVE LOVE when my kids are cuddly, but why is it they're only like that when I actually have stuff I have to do?

@A kiwi. That drive is fun! I used to live in chicago and have done the drive from Chicago to Akron, Oh tons of times. It has some really beautiful scenery. I've only done it twice since having kids, and ya that turns it into a whole other monster.

My son (almost 4) has been on a "what time are you going to..." kick.

Mom, what time are you going to be done eating?
Mom, what time are you going to be done in the shower?
Mom, what time are you going to be done going pee?

20 seconds later-
Mom, what time are you going to be done going pee?
5 seconds later-
Mom, are you done going pee yet, what is taking you so long?
3 seconds later beating on the door-
Mom, it's taking you a long long time to go pee. What time are you going to be done?

Oh - your title made me chuckle straight away! I didn't even have to open it to know what it was going to be about!! My kids are now 6 and 2. We go to Cincinnati which is a 5-6 hour drive from Chicago quite often. My boy was 4, and no kidding we had only just left home and made it literally 10mins on the freeway in traffic when he started "Are we there yet Mummy?". He proceeded to ask every 15mins chiming in the backseat - "we must be there now". It was the longest drive of my life - I got wise though as he understood numbers but not the length of time so I started at 200minutes and each time he asked I slowly lowered it by what ever number I thought of - we got to 180something and he fell asleep for an hour or so. Whew! I never wanted someone to really invent time travel as then - or ever since I was young myself, I always wanted to have a personal spaceship like on "The Jetsons". Thank goodness he grew out of it. My main thing is I don't like them playing electronic games or DVD's in the car - I like them to look out the window at what is going by. We have names for different places such as on I65 through Indiana - the windmills are called "The land of the Giants" they are amazing - I'm sure each time we drive through there, there are more appearing!
