Are There Any "Organic" Prenatal Vitamins? and Questions About IUD

I've read that is good to start taking prenatal vitamins six months before you conceive, we are planning for sometime next year and I was wondering if there are any organic or more natural prenatal vitamins in the market. I do not want to sign up with melaleuca because I'm just interested in prenatal vitamins and I don't want to keep a regular monthly order to stay registered just for this product.
If you know of any stores that carry them please let me know,
my other question is more a concern about having my IUD taken out; when I got it it did not hurt that much, just a mild cramping, but my OB gyn warned me that it hurts to take it out; it's silly because I'm willing to go htrough labor pains but the pain of having the IUD taken out is really freaking me out. is it really that bad?? please let me know you experience, it means a lot to hear what other moms went through.
Thanks!!!!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

***UPDATE**** I had my IUD taken out and I felt a very slight cramp, the anticipation was worse. However I did take Tylenol about 40 min before my appointment which I think really helped.
My OB GYN prescribed Neevo and I got some vegan prenatal vitamins from Central Market, so far so good. I'm still on the fence about Neevo.
Thank you all again!

Thank you mommas for all the info, I feel a little better about my upcoming OBGYN appointment to take tha IUD out. I've come to terms with the pain that a lot of people have told me is very brief.

Regarding the prenatal vitamins I'm determined to go organic this time, I'll do more research and I will def take a walk through whole foods to see what they're offering.

Kelley thanks for the link it has very useful info. I didn't even know all this info was out there.

Thanks again and if and when I get preggers I'll be back for some more advice! Thanks!

The pain when I had my IUD taken out was stronger than when I had it put it, but it was very fast. I flinched, then it was done. It'll be over before you know it. Worrying about it up until they did it was probably worse than the actual getting it taken out.

I've heard a lot of good things about the vitamins Rainbow Light makes. I bought some that are food based and you take them three times a day - it helps with absorption. You can buy them at Whole Foods.

Good luck!

Hi my name is M. and I am a single mom of 4. I was wondering wich IUD do you have? If you are still having a menstral cycle you sould make an appt. to remove it at that time. It will help with the cramping. Also take Advil or Aleve 30 minutes before your appt. Hope this helps.

You can buy from Melaleuca as a Direct customer without the monthly "commitment".

If you are really that concerned about "natural" products, it surprises me that you would not look more closely at Melaleuca's product lines.

Please email me at ____@____.com, and let me know specifically what your concerns are with the company. You can also call me at ###-###-####. (I promise NOT to "pressure" you into enrolling as a Preferred Customer!!)

Good decision to start taking the prenatals "beforehand"!! (I'm sorry I can't answer your question about your IUD, since I've never had one.)

Yes, to one of your questions....
There are....go to nordicnaturals.com (you may even find them in your local central market or whole foods). I hope all the mom's see this post....you have to be careful - very careful - many of the vitamins that pedi's recommend, and even those that you buy over the counter are just synthetics. You want the purest of pure and 100% organic. Just b/c it comes from central market doesn't make it organic. You have to really do the research pertaining the truest purity of vitamins; using synthetics (the billion dollar vitamin industry) is just lacing yourself with more and more chemicals and nothing really that can make a difference. The nordic naturals website is a great website that can educate mom's about such as well. As well as http://www.organicconsumers.org/

You should consider VeMMA nutritional program, a liquid vitamin with plant-sourced minerals. It is an amazing liquid discovery, fairly new to Texas. It also contains green tea, aloe and mangosteen, 3 highly-rated antioxidants. Because it's liquid, the nutrients are absorbed readily, unlike cheap pills which come out the same way they go in :). Please contact me or visit my website www.ShareHealthyFun.com. I have testimonials of peoples' lives changing from taking this product.
