Congratulations!!! I am in Glen Ellyn as well, although my kids are 7, 3.5 and 21 months. Have you tried connecting with the Glen Ellyn Newcommers club? They are a social organization where there are lots of different activities scheduled each month - some of which include a moms & tots play groups. Try looking on the Glen Ellyn website to find out information on when the next meeting is or to get on the mailing list for their newsletter. We met several couples through the newcommers club that we still keep in touch with today. Good luck! ~ K.
I don't know of any in the Glen Ellyn area, but I am full time working first time mom to a five month old who lives in Lombard. I would also like to connect with some N. moms.
Central DuPage Hospital has a wonderful mother's group called FYI Moms. It is free and once a week and very relaxed. It is supervised by a nurse, so you can ask questions and bounce ideas off others. I loved it. In fact, I still get together with the mothers I meet there once a week for play group. I recommend it to everyone. Good Luck!
