Are Certain Teeth Harder on Kids as They Come In?

I was wondering if certain teeth seem to give little one's a harder time than others? Such as molars, incisors, etc. My neice is getting some new teeth in and this set seems to be giving her an especially hard time. Just wanted to see if you ladies had an opinion on this.

What can I do next?

The eye teeth and molars. I know that my boys both ran fevers when they where cutting their eye teeth.

For my son it was the canines. Way, way harder than the molars. And a pediatric dentist told me this was often the case. I don't know why though. The molars are so flat and with a large surface area, I thought they would be worse. Maybe it has to do with WHEN they come in. My son's canines came in after the molars. Maybe it was tight in there?

I've always heard that canine and molars are more painful than the 8 front teeth.

I would say molers do. They all hurt, my kids were miserable. My son is getting his 2 year old molers. We have a fever and even bleeding gums, AHHH. Poor baby!
Tell her good luck!

My daughter got most of her baby teeth very fast, and nearly all at once. She got 5 in a week and a half while we were on vacation. She drooled constantly, and always had her hand or something in her mouth, but was otherwise unaffected. Then came her molars. She had a fever, diarrhea, a terrible diaper rash, just overall misery. I don't remember her having pain in her mouth or jaw, but i do remember the process as miserable, and I don't think she slept well either.

Back teeth (molars) can be a little harder for some kids just because they are bigger! As soon as you see a tooth, start brushing them and make a big show of how fun it is! But use minimal toothpaste, almost none since the kids swallow most of it. SHow them how its done by spitting agressively into the sink so they can mimmick you. Smaller brushes are eaily found in the pharmacy, use those to make it easier to get it in there. Brushing together can be helpful so the kids can see you doing it. They can "help" you and you can "help" them.

Good luck-

My daughter just got her 3 year molars. It took forever for them to come in and she was a complete bear about it. The others never caused this much issue.

for my kids it seemed that the molers were the hardest to get in. They seemed to be in pain a lot longer.

My Step mom is a dental hygenist and she has always told me that the molars are the hardest on babies... they seem to make them fussier and in more pain.. I am assuming it is because they are WAY bigger and poiny on the tips? Hope this helps!
