Are Bathing Suit Pics Okay to Put in a Holiday Card?

We have very few family pics and have a great one of us during Spring Break in Aruba that I'd like to use. My 15 year old son and husband are wearing rash guards, I'm wearing a tankini top, and my daughter (12) is in a bikini top. Above waist only showing in pic. Is this acceptable to send to friends and family?

What can I do next?

My goodness YES! Unless you belong to some kind of secular cult, pretty much everyone in America swims in public spaces (pools, lakes, rivers, beach) and most of us often take photos to share while on vacation in warm places. I love getting these kinds of happy relaxed Christmas cards!

Why wouldn't it be okay? It's a FAMILY picture where you are out having FUN!!

I say USE it!! If anyone gets upset? it's on them.

I agree with Diane D. Run it by the kids and see how they feel about it but if it's a picture you would post on Facebook (if you have one) for your friends to see there is no reason not to send it to your friends on a card.

I'd probably run it by the kids to make sure they were ok with it. If not select another pic. If you are having second thoughts about it select another pic.

It might be alright.
A lot of people would just go with it.
I think if it's a flattering picture, the swim suits cover suitable areas, no one is falling out of their suit and no one is embarrassed at the thought of the picture being out there for as long as people want to keep it then it should be fine.

Just a side thought but if your husband and son wear rash guards, then why not your daughter and you too?
It saves applying a lot of sun screen and sun burns are painful.

I personally don't have a problem with it - people post pictures all the time on Facebook of their summer/vacation photos in bathing suits. Sometimes they're a little revealing and I think oh... but it has to be them falling out of their suits or something for me even to notice!

Are you going to be ok once you send them out? If I've mailed them and then second guess myself, that would suck. Or if my kids voted to not have them be sent - then no. One of my kids would not be ok to have pic like that sent out (at a fussy stage).

As long as you and kids ok with it, go for it! I can't imagine why anyone would have an issue with it! They would like to see their friends/family having fun :)

As long as your daughter is comfortable with it, it's fine. I have received cards with people in bathing suits before and never thought twice about it. My cards this year have pics of my kids in bathing suits (both in rash guards).
