I actually am an Arbonne consultant, so I use a LOT of Arbonne products; however, I'm not going to tell you that Arbonne's baby line will definitely work to clear up your child's eczema. I think it really comes down to personal body chemistry. I personally know several people who have used the Arbonne baby line on their baby's eczema and their skin cleared up beautifully to the point where they no longer had to use steroid creams. However, my 3-year-old daughter developed eczema pretty much all over her body starting about 6 months ago, and the Arbonne baby line did not help her. In fact, we're now using Dove soap for sensitive skin, CeraVe cream, Free&Clear brand shampoo/conditioner, AND a steroid ointment on the really bad spots (it's actually bleeding between her fingers and toes) and it's still not helping her that much...but I digress. If you can get more Arbonne samples to try before actually buying anything, that would certainly be a good option, but I can certainly understand your not wanting to spend the money if you don't know if it will work or not (although Arbonne does have a 45-day money-back guarantee, even if the product has been used, but then you have to deal with the hassle of shipping it back to them if you don't like it...). That said, my younger daughter (now 7 months) had a NASTY newborn rash when she was a week old, and the Arbonne baby lotion cleared it up BEE-yoo-tifully, and I always get compliments from her pediatrician on how smooth and well-hydrated her skin is when I bring her in for well-baby visits. I will say that I have heard more positive stories about the Arbonne helping with eczema and rashes than negative stories, but it really is a personal body chemistry thing. I think that would be true of any brand, though. I think there have been a lot of other good suggestions mentioned; in fact, I may try a few of them for my own daughter's eczema, since we're still having trouble with her. If you want more samples of the Arbonne to try, I can certainly give you some; just let me know.
As far as the diaper rash cream goes, I really really like Arbonne's diaper rash cream, but it's more for the inactive ingredients. You are totally right in that most, if not all, of the major brands of diaper rash creams seem to have the same active ingredient in the same concentration, so I doubt Arbonne's is actually better or faster at clearing up the rash itself. What I like about it is the fact that it's SILKY smooth, so it's very easy to apply, it applies evenly, it doesn't get gunky, it cleans off very easily, and has a very light, non-medicinal, pleasant smell. If you're really turned off by the price, I think Boudreaux's Butt Paste would be an AWESOME choice for you. It has a funny name, but works very well, and also applies easily and evenly, and cleans off well. It is available in grocery stores.
