We want to pick apples this coming weekend. Last year we went to the orchard in Stillwater, that a was really nice one but this year we want to try another. I heard there is another one is in White Bear or Mahtomedi area. Anyone know where it is? Any others in the area of St. Paul?
Pine tree apple orchard is in White Bear, north of the lake. I had no idea they were charging to get in now!! The last couple of years it has been crazy busy and not as much fun because of how packed it is.
The only one I know of is Pine Tree Apple Orchard.

Pine Tree Apple Orchard neat Whitebear Lake is great. They have fun activities throughout the month of October like hay rides and kids play area. They also have great baked goods. You can look them up at www.pinetreeappleorchard.com.
Our family usually goes a couple of times a year since it is such a great family thing to do :) We used to like Aamodts because they had some great 'free' things for the kids but now it has become very costly to go and you don't get to pick your own apples. It is almost like a big "apple store" now. We also go to Afton Apple and will most likely continue to go there. You get to pick your own apples, pumpkins, and berries. They have a huge play area and petting zoo and hay rides that don't break the bank like Aamodts! Last year we paid $1 or $2 per person which isn't bad for a day of fun :)

I have not been to this one, but I know of it. I am not sure if you can pick your own apples though. My husbands friend said they bought theirs in the store.

I have been to this one. I liked it, however there is a fee to get into the apple orchard. They give a hayride to where you want to pick, petting zoo and kids playground. I thought it was well worth it....Oh and eat an apple or 2 while walking around picking them...You get you entrance fee back...lol

There's a great one in Stillwater, which is pretty close...It's great. There's hayrides and activities for little ones, plus a winery for moms and dads!!

I've been looking for places to have an outing for my family to pick too. The only place I've found so far to pick your own anywhere around here is Afton Apple Orchard in Hastings. They have hayrides, a corn maze, and a petting zoo also. The address is 14421 90th St S Hastings MN 55033, and the number is ###-###-####. They have directions and the types of apples available to pick on their answering machine.
