So What Happened?

I ended up finding a school site that posted their passcode to view the book online so I got the page. Its not really a matter of bailing him out so to speak. I did NOT want him to feel like he had a free pass and not have to do his homework. I know him having to do it during recess wouldnt bother him as much as doing it at home rather than playing video games. I had a plan B incase I couldnt find the book page online but luckily I found it. I am trying to teach my kid that if you run into a problem you have ways to try and fix it. Obviously there are boundaries. He was punished for not bringing his book and I gave him a talk about it.

envision math has a website that has their texbook on it-our kids never have to take theirs home. We get a passcode at the beginning of each year. It also has different excercises and tools to help you with the lessons. We get ours early in the school year.

At our elementary school, those books are left at school.

As a teacher and parent.... Allow your son to learn a valuable lesson on this one. I know you want to bail him out but he'll most likely go to work completion during recess and will remember his lesson next time!!

If you still want to bail him out, ask neighbors who have children in the same class.

Our local library has the books available in the reference section or sometimes the teachers give us online access (that was more for the reading book though).

I've never seen my daughter's books in all of her years. The books seem to stay at school and the teachers send home copies of the homework pages.
