my husband and I are about to move into a subdivision with our 20 month old and I am 6 1/2 months pregnant. We have a 16 month old German Shepherd named Sasha that we are looking for a home for. Sh eis a great dog and is not overly aggressive. You do have to approach her slowly and she will be protective to her new family. We are not going to have a large yard any longer and I don't want her to be coupe dup all day and only get to go out for walks. I don't wnat to take her to the SPCA ot HUmane SOciety because I am worried that no one will want to adopt her because she is not a puppy. She is agility trained and house broken. She can sit and shake and other basic commands. She is totally FREE! and caught up on all shots. We also ahve a crate that you can have.

What can I do next?

I have a friend that is interested. They have a male about 2 yrs old that is an inside dog and were wondering if Sasha is fixed or not and if she is an outside dog or house broken.

Has she had a lot of contact with other children? We have really been wanting a dog for our family, but I worry about my kids. I have two boys, 2 and 4 years old.

M.,
The SPCA in Dallas would be glad to take her. There are alot of people that like german shepherd. If you take her to the SPCA and they feel she can be adopted they will keep her till she finds a home. We would love a take her but our apartment does not allow german shepherds. Call and take to the SPCA. Hope this helps.
