oh, girl, we put on a wing there! Loved them all. great hospital.
My vet recommended us to the Dallas Vet Surgical Center (Plano location) for our bull mastiff puppy with a leg problem. Anyone had any dealings or heard anything good or bad about them?
Thanks to all that responded...I didn't expect so many. It made me very happy to see all the glowing reviews. Well we took our "little" Chloe in to see Dr. Bertrand and was extremely pleased. He was very thoughtful and did some research to see the best course of action for her since her problem is very rare. I was very impressed with the care and dedication of the Dr. and the staff. He was even going to ask other doctors about her condition to ensure we get the best results. He wants to personlly see her again so he can follow up on her care. I was happy to see that we weren't just a number and he truly cares about her progress. Very impressed. Thanks again to all...it made my visit less nerve racking knowing I was in good hands.

We took our Weimaraner to the Dallas Vet Surgical Center on Trinity Mills for his torn ACL surgery. They were wonderful. It was expensive but completely worth it in my opinion.
we used them a few years ago for our lab who needed her knee replaced. they were all great! we were very pleased and Molly has been doing wonderful ever since.
YES YES YES.
We used them when our Cocker (now passed) was around 2 for a neck injury. Frankie went on to live until he was 15.
We paid a lot of $$ but it was worth it.
The Dr's are great.
We had to go there several years ago for our golden with cancer. Unfortunately, our outcome was not good, but the doctors were incredibly kind and very supportive. They let us know the risks going in and explained every detail after. I would feel very comfortable returning if we were referred there again.
Good luck!
Our dachshund had back surgery there about 3 years ago with a great outcome, we love them. He is walking on all fours and it could have easily gone bad. They took great care of him and the cost was about what we expected for dog back surgery.
Our pointer mix had ACL surgery at the one on Custer by 121 in 2008. It's not cheap, but the staff/service was wonderful.
Is the the center off of the Tollway? If yes, my 8 week yorkie had surgery there and that is one swanky place! They have everything, but it is high dollar!
I had great results, and great service for about $1000. (broken leg)
WE were very pleased with the Dallas Vet Surgical Center on Trinity Mills.
Yes, I have used them. Godiva, my basset hound, had to have surgery on both of her front legs when she was ~ 4 months old. Her joints had fused too early because she jumped off a chair and injured herself. She had to spend two one-week stints at the hospital and was in traction for most of her first year. Amazingly, she is a very healthy, pain-free, 6 year old now.
The doctors and staff were wonderful and we were very blessed to have found them. I cannot say enough!
Yes, our Vet referred us there for a tail amputation for our English Bulldog. Our bully had a tight cork screw tail that needed to be removed due to an infection in the area the call a "tail pocket". We saw another vet for a 2nd opinion and they also referred us to the surgical center because the surgery was very involved and the surgical center has highly trained professionals that could deal with complication should they arise. I'm happy to say that our bully didn't have any issues and other than him not having a tail you can't even tell that one was removed. They did an awesome job and we would definitely return. Also the surgeon was so nice and explained everything to us which made us feel even more comfortable with the procedure since we were both very uncertain and worried for our little guy.
I may be biased on this one....that was the last place I worked before I became a stay-home-mom. I was one of their registered surgery techs. I can tell you that even behind the scenes this place is great. The standards are very high. All of the surgeons are more than capable, and most of them are board certified for these specialties. You will also get to know a few of the intern doctors fairly well because they will most likely be in charge of your after-care, and I think you will find that they are well equipped as well. I feel that these surgeons and facilities are by far the best in the Metroplex. Good luck with your puppy, one of my favorite breeds!
