Yep they work and are worth the price. Can't get to a store that caries them try Victoria's secret full coverage...They work real well too! Yep after 2 kids and 2 C-sections you "gotta" have something to help. Good luck
Got a stomach that wants to wave 'hello!' when I wear dresses and such. I heard Spanx makes good stuff to conceal that bulge. Any experiences with it?

I've got the spanx higher power....they go from leg to boobs...hated it. Rolled down and then had a hideous "roll" in the back. I got the Target cheapie too...not a fan either.
I have every support foundation created. Spanx is a good way to give light support. If you are looking for something more substantial, check out the foundation garmets made by the Brazilians. They have cornered the market. No more girdles of the past! If you are interested, email me and I can give you the link.
I bought the Donna Karen one that Oprah had on her show last year. It was great at first - then after only a few times wearing it -it would roll down. About 5 months ago I bought Spanx and love it. I bought mine at Nordstromn and the lady there helped me w/ sizing. It is so comforatble and you can still breath. I think the product has a gurantee on it for all of you out there that don't like it. Maybe return it for a different size? I have a tummy problem and love handles and I look so much better in my Jeans know. I recomend putting on the Spnax in the dressing room then put your Jeans on - you should see a difference. Good luck - M.
I've heard they're awful. You can buy the Flexees brand at Target and Koh's for about $30, and it does what Spanx advertises. I have been wearing them for 3 years, and I love them. Very comfortable, and it does slim down the tummy rolls and love handles.
I have some and they are great. If you get them here are some tips....
1. you have to buy the right size, otherwise they will roll down.
2. you really can't wear underwear under them, or you will have more lines and that defeats the purpose.
3. They are not good if you want great support, they are best for light support.
4. don't dry them in the dryer, they won't hold their shape that well
But, they are super comfortable. I would definelty recommend them for dresses, not for under pants. Good Luck.
Oh... go to the store, ask for help with a size, but then buy them on ebay. You get a much better deal. That way if you don't like them , you didn't pay full price.
Yes and I love it. I've tried the regular and the pregnancy version and they're fabulous. I've only tried the short ones (run to mid-thigh) and there truly is no bulge. I've bought my regular version at Target and it started to run and tear earlier than I would have liked, but then again, the price was right.
Yes! I love my nude bicycle shorts. I wear them with everything. I had twins and let's face it my tummy will never be the same. I highly recommend them!
I haven't tried the Spanx brand, but my one comment would be -- don't just get a panty. Get something that covers your whole torso area. The one time I tried a support panty, it just pushed everything above and below and then I looked ridiculous.
LOVE IT!!! They also make a cheaper brand at Target, by the same maker.
Spanx are great! I wore them to my class reunion and morphed into a size 6 thigh. :)
I tried Spanx once. I paid full price for it because I had heard wonderful things. It was so disappointing. I don't know if I just didn't buy the right size or what. I've purchased cheaper brands that worked better. Hope this helps you out.

Yeah, I tried it and wasn't impressed. Then I saw that celebrites were loving it, so I tried it on again (it was still in my drawer) to no avail. Then, I saw it on the Mike and Juliet Show and tried it again. Not impressed. Doesn't do much for me. If you try it and it works, let me know. Maybe I just need to get a more tight fit?
Good luck!

I've used them a few times and they work wonders. I like the ones that go up higher because otherwise it just pushes everything up and over. The ones that go up to just about your bra line I think are the best!! For sure worth the purchase!!!
I did try spanx for my nephews wedding in September. Although I found them at Filens Basement for half the price of Macy's. Was not all that impressed. Did you see Dr. Ray has some he is peddling on HSN? Maybe his are better, they showed them on inside edition. Supoose to make you go down a size! Let us know if you try any of them. Maybe you will have better luck.
I have never used Spanx, but I heard that Target has a comparable brand for a fraction of the price.
I bought one for my wedding (!!) this summer, and couldn't believe how comfortable it was, even in the August sun (wedding was outdoors.) It definitely made a difference in my usually pear-shaped figure. I got the one that goes from waist to half-way down the thigh. BTW, I found it on Ebay, new for much less than dept. stores and other online sources.
I love Spanx and only recently tried them. I had to stand up in a wedding this year after having a baby and Spanx did wonders to make me look and feel like I never had a baby (save for that she decided to sit on my hip the entire service). Anyhow, I loved them so much, I ordered a different item when we got back. They are super comfortable, no wires to hold things up and can be used with a nursing bra if necessary. Totally worth the investment.
Wacoal also makes really nice tummy controlers. I got mine at Nordstrom.
I agree with Amanda.. I bought the flexees I believe brand from Kohls and wore it to my daughter's wedding. And it did a pretty good job! They are just the control sort of underwear.. that help smooth your hips out and flatten your tummy somewhat. They were the most comfortable "suck it in" sort of panties.. I went back to Nordstroms twice to try on different SPANX styles and I don't know.. I could barely get those suckers on and I could barely breathe..(I'm only 10 pounds or so overweight so its not like I have a major weight issue.. GEESH!! and I had a large on.. I'm 5'3 too..)
I'm bigger busted so that SPANX style that everyone likes that hooks on to the middle of your bra so it stays up was just not comfortable for me. They do have like a boy short sort of style but I didn't think it looked like it would support that much. And the one to slim your thighs that was longer.. OMG.. I could barely feel any circulation in my legs..I thought.. GOSH. i would rather starve myself for a year than wear this thing.. YIKES!
I don't know.. I just found SPANX to be expensive and HIGHLY uncomfortable.. go to Kohls.. they have several different styles and they are much more affordable.. when on sale..
I bought one this past summer and wore it with a fancy dress to a wedding. For a girdle it was pretty comfortable and it did help hide the belly. I would say it was worth it.
AWESOME!!! I love them., The higher power is great...makes you loo 20lbs thinner, and clothing just fits so nice. Makes that slinky dress look great. FYI Jessica Alba wore them in Fantastic Four to make her body flawless in her costume, as do most of the movie stars.
