I keep getting email info about rebate processing as a work-from-home job. Has anyone looked into this? Sounds like a scam, but can't quite tell. checked on Snopes but no info there.

What can I do next?

Hi M.,

I have not heard about that home business, but I am and independent consultant for Arbonne International and have been for 3years now. I chose to get out of corporate America and start my own business so I can own my own life and be here for my children when they need me. If you are interested, I can certainly send you some information, or you can visit my website and look at it for yourself.

You determine how much money you'd like to make and it's only $ 29.00 to sign up and start. If you choose to buy some products that is separate.

I have never looked back and I love every moment of it!

We help each other, I have friends doing this with me from Florida to South Dakota and I am in Nevada. We all help each other no matter where we are.

Hi M., my name is D. and I wanted to say I get alot of those emails too. I too am a skeptic with a lot of WAHJ. I remember reading a complaint thread about some of the rebate processings, now I don't know if that goes for all of them. I did remember seeing it on the rip off report. I do have a suggestion that I think would benefit all mothers specially when we have little ones. I came across this company that allows you to get discounts off of your local merchant stores and not only do you save money by shopping at stores or online but you can earn an income with this company as they have cash back and bonuses along with this program. If you like more info on this, call or email me and I'll glady pre-enroll you on the program so you can see how it works before you actually sign up! My email is ____@____.com

I have not seen those particular emails, but I have processed coupons, lol. Long ago, for the sister of a man I worked for (I am a CPA). I cannot imagine that there is much money to be had compared to the time involved. It is really tedious, and the processing fees are miniscule. If you have some interest in it, I would approach some local small businesses and ask if they are willing to work directly with you. Every layer, after all, siphons off fees. Avoid those layers, and you (and the business) get to keep more of the money.

The other thing I would note is that working from home is not quite what it is sold to be. It can work for some, and since your boys are older and in school you should be able to find some childless hours in which to work but, still, it is really difficult to work all alone surrounded by the distractions of your daily life. And working while your children are home is often impossible: being around mom but having her unavailable tends to bring out behavior issues in the little ones. All things you don't know until you've tried it! (I worked from home for years; as a CPA it is easy for me to get well paying independent work; but I am much happier having given up on that illusion).

If you are interested in work, I would look for a part-time job during your children's school hours. Inventory your skills, talk to the parents in your circle, and see what you can come up with.

PS - One rule of thumb I live by: nothing good arrives unsolicited in email.

I get at least one of their e-mails each week. My husband says he is pretty sure it is a scam. It seems fishy to me,
but, I could be wrong.

Hi,
I was reading the other day about rebate processing. There are many work from home businesses out there. I think you have to talk to others to see if they are really making any money. Your time is important. Make sure the returns on your efforts are worth your investments.
M., I work from home as a Nuskin Distributor its fun and I make a good income. If you want more information send me an email g34heatlh at yahoo dot com.

Hi, I tried it and it was a scam. I sent 197.00 and did not recieve what was promised. Fortunately I kept threatening to turn them in to fraud department and got my money back. Anything that asks for money is a scam.

Hi there, I keep getting e-mails about that as well and wanted to check it out. I ended up finding a website that tells you about scams/rip offs http://www.ripoffreport.com/default.asp
(it seems like a legit website)It is a website where consumers can voice their dissatisfaction.
I do not know if rebate processing is a scam, but I do know by reading some feedback about rebate processing, that you are the one who has to advertise the product first. It seems like a lot of work (and very misleading). Hope this helps!
