You could call Cornerstone in Bloomington they are a large organization for battered woman. They have a shelter, transitional housing etc.
The Lewis House in Eagan
Dakota Woodlands Homeless Shelter for woman and children in Eagan
I have personally lived at all 3 of these places and hope to God I never have to go through that again and I can say I truely appreciated the donated clothing and toys my daughter and I recieved.
Otherwise if you look on the "want" ads on this website there are usually alot of people asking for specific size/gender cltothing that seem to be in real need.

It also bothers me that donating to thrift stores just makes a profit off your things and jacks the price up to high on many items. I know if you donate to like those people that pick it up on your front porch sell the stuff by the pound to the the thrift store so they take the money and do donate towards a good charity or organization but it's the fact that I really hate how much thrift store over price things. I can go buy my daughter clothing on a clearance rack and get something brand spanking new or go buy a used piece of clothing for the same price which is higher than garage sale prices. Sorry had to vent a little.
