There is a Costco on Middlebelt and I-96. It has a membership fee but I think it's only about $40 a year and you can save that in a month just buying diapers and wipes from there.
Does anyone know of a good bulk foods store in the Livonia area?
Thank you so much, everyone, for your wonderful responses! I went to the Bulk foods store in Garden City, and they have wonderful prices on various staples, spices, and some "health foods" we often buy! I may also revisit our local GFS and Costco stores.

Gorden Food Service, and you don't need a membership to get in. I don't know where there is one in the Livonia area though.
H. , there are 2 Costco's in Livonia. On on 39800 Middlebelt Road near the 96 Freeway and on 20000 Haggerty between 7 & 8 Mile Road. There are 2 Sam's Club in the area on in Canton on 39800 Ford Road and one in Wixom on 27300 Novi Rd.
Hi H.,
There is a brand new Gordon Food Service store at the Corner of Ford and Lotz. Also you can look up GFS, Sam's Club, and Costco store locations online. GFS's website is www.gfs.com, Sam's website is www.samsclub.com, and Costco's website is www.costco.com.
There is a Costco on Middlebelt and 96 - freeway. I think the member ship is like $45 for a year. There is a Gordons Food Store (GFS) also but I'm not sure if there is one in Livonia.
there is one in garden city on middlebelt north of ford rd in the kroger shopping plaza..
So happy to see you all promoting my the company my hubby works for (although he doesn't work at any of the stores)!!! (GFS) We go to GFS and also to Costco - since they have different things available.
GFS - the one on 6 mile is good and there also is one in Farmington Hills on Grand River just east of Haggerty.
Hi H.,
I don't know where in Livonia you live, but there is a Sams Club in Westland off from Wayne and Joy Rds. You can also do a Yellow Page search for Gordons food service, you don't need a membership for Gordons like you do for Sams or Costco.
God Bless You.
I always go to the bulk food store Jen mentioned. Just don't go in there hungry, or you'll walk out with $20 worth of chocolate! There's also a GFS at the northeast corner of Middlebelt and 6 Mile. It's kinda hidden behind the Shake'n'Steak if you're on Middlebelt.
(A word to the wise: if you go to the Sam's Club or the GFS on Ford by Haggerty, do so on a weekday morning. The Sam's Club shares a parking lot with a Walmart, and the traffic is an unholy mess once everyone gets out and about for the day.)
