I'm 41 and have been considering it for my forehead / between the eyebrows. Has anyone out there tried it? What were the results? Did people notice? How long does it last? Thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for the responses, ladies. I think I'm going to do it. I wonder if I can get away with not telling my husband... :)

I've had it done 4-5 times for the lines between my eyebrows (I have those horrible 11 lines there!).

I would continue to do it to maintain them disappearing BUT I'm unfortunately one of the .000001% of people that Botox does not really work on! so instead of them being gone for 3-6 months.... they come back in 6-8 weeks and at almost $400 a session (per area).... I can't afford that (nor do I think I would want that much poison going in me!!).

All that aside I would try it and see if it works for you. I've never had my forehead done... I could see where that would make you look a little frozen... but as one poster says after a few days or so it loosens up. try it on a Friday and see what happens.

Whatever you do go to a DR. office.... and try and have a plastic surgeon do it. I've had a DR and a lady who was just trained... the Dr. was the same cost and I got a better result.

I've done it. I had it done at a plastic surgeon's office where he was having a special promotion.

I don't have any wrinkles but I do tend to tense area between my eyebrows when I am concentrating on something. As a result, for twenty years people (even my husband) are always asking me if something is wrong when I am feeling perfectly fine.

I finally decided to try it to see if it would make a difference and it has. My husband doesn't know that I got it done but he hasn't asked me the dreaded, "is there something wrong/are you mad?" question in over a week.

It took about a week to kick in and I can still move my eyebrows so I don't have that unfortunate "Nicole Kidman forehead."

My boss gets botox every so often and her face looks paralized/zombie-ish right after she gets it. It's quite comical, actually. She thinks people don't notice but we do. After the first day or so, you can't really tell, and she does look pretty good for 63.

I've had it done several times. I work for a plastic surgeon who does Botox so I can have it done for free. I have been happy with the results. People didn't know until I told them I had had it.
When administered properly it really shouldn't be noticeable. That said, you don't have to be a doctor to do it and there are a lot of inexperienced people giving Botox shots, so if you do it make sure whomever you choose has years of experience administering Botox.
How long it lasts depends a bit on the individual, but around 3-4 months is average. Also, it takes 24-48 hours to take effect. You can also check out Dysport, which is just like Botox, which lost its patent, but is often cheaper. I have also had Dysport and like it.
If you are interested in any more info about how it works or anything feel free to PM me.
