My 7 month old daughter has just been diagnosed with RSV. :( I just wanted to know if any of you have some herbal, homeopathic, home remedies/alternative medecine that has worked for you with RSV for small children/babies. I am pretty sure I have RSV also. My daughter and I have been sick since the 3rd of July. It hasnt been really extreme symptoms until this past sunday. I have used an onion poultice on my 1st daughter when she had bronchitis as a 9 month old and it is VERY effective. I have an onion poultice on my 7 month old right now as she is sleeping and I can already tell that it is helping to loosen her cough. Any advice that you can provide is appreciated! I would not try any homeo anything for RSV. That is a very serious illness for baby. Get thee to the dr. asap.

I would NEVER try anything on a 7 mos old that wasn't 100% approved by my Pediatrician.
There are a lot of things I did personally when I had Bronchitis back in January and bottom line the only thing that truly helped was anti biotics and a cough med that had antihistamine/mucinex stuff in it. I did use Airbornne, I drank this tea by Celestial Seasonings for chest congestion, drank a lot of Vitamin water and took steamy baths with those vapor drops. Those all relieved my symptoms. I put honey in my tea (which is poisenous to a 7 mos old) but it didn't really help, I did the vapor rub on my feet and it did nothing.
A hot steamy room will help your daughter, get permission but I think you can use Vicks Vapor pads as young as 6 mos. That is like the vapor rub but it is a plug in that fills the room up with that smell and lasts 8 hours.
I have an amazing food supplement that has helped several friends babies get over rsv quicker and prevents further issues also. See your Dr. as well, but this is something that even tiny babies can take...it is that safe!
