I was hoping to get some feedback on others' experience with Mount Olivet Day Services South Campus on Lyndale Ave. We are also looking at Fraser School, St. John's Church at 49th & Nicollet, and Lake Harriet Church

I have heard great things about Mount Olivet...I actually tried to enroll my daughter there when she was 16 months but they had a huge waiting list. I did find a spot at St. John's on 49th. I teach K across the street and have had lots of their former preschool students in my class. They do a great job preparing kindergartners. My little girl was in the toddler room at St.John's from Sept. 2004-June 2005. For the most part I was happy. She loved it. The staff was nice, it was safe, they have a nice facility and a very professional director. Drawbacks - Some of the staff seemed really young and inexperienced and the daily report sheets I would get didn't seem very accurate - how much she ate, slept, etc. I would be happy to provide more information if you would like!

Hi A. - I used to live right there and I had a neighbor refer me to Mt. Olivet. Her kids loved it and so did she. I have also heard wonderful things about Fraser. Suppose to be one of the best in the city. I think they usually have a waiting list though.
Hope that helps!

My 3 year old daughter is at Fraser Richfield and we are very impressed. Because they cater to children with special needs, they get extra funding and can keep their ratios very low.
Most importantly, my daughter absolutely loves it and goes out kicking and screaming when it is time to go home- even after an unfortunately long 10 hour day there (she attends both school and childcare there).
At least I don't feel so bad when I have a long work day.

I highly recommend Fraser. I have two daughter there and recently my nephew started in their preK program. All the kids LOVE it! My oldest child asks to go on the days she has off! The teachers are great and make such a fuss over the kids. I really can't say enough about Fraser-I'm a HUGE fan. I think the fact that the children are exposed to so many different types of people/kids is awesome! The real world is diverse and Fraser is a great example of that!

Good luck with your decision!
