I found a website called Honeyfund.com and I'm not sure what to think about it. Has any of you mama's ever used this or something similar? It seems pretty cool, but I'm still confused on how it works.

Thanks!!

What can I do next?

It is a way for your wedding guests to give you cash to finance your honeymoon. I've never heard of people doing that, but I suppose they could if they didn't want to get you a wedding gift. What I don't know is that once a balance has accumulated in your on-line account at Honeyfund, if you must make your purchases from their sponsors through their website. In the mean time, they're making interest on your balance and you and your friends are probably getting bombarded with e-mail offers from their sponsors.

I have not used the site - but think that if one of my friends sent a request to me - I would be offended. Why would I want to pay for someone elses honeymoon? Not to be rude - but I think that is something either the parents of the bride and groom or the newly married couple should pay for. Just my opinion - you don't have to like it or agree with it.

Umm, NO.

If you are mature enough to be getting married and paying (CASH) for a wedding then pay (CASH) for your honeymoon OR wait until you have the funds to do it yourself...maybe a 5, 10 yr anniversary and do it great!

Personally, it sounds tacky to ask for money and I would be offended.

No offense intended.....just an etiquette thing.

I understand a wedding registry IF someone is engaged and setting up house for the FIRST time. If not have the manners to forgo the dream and delay the gratification until you can afford it.

Wedding guests should not be asked to pay for a honeymoon.

It seems like a cool idea, but you have to consider who will be giving gifts to you and would they feel offput to be asked to contribute towards your honeymoon. I personally would like to give a gift I know my friend or family member would enjoy, want, need, etc, but I know other people, like my husband, would think it rude to be told specifically what to buy for someone.
