I happen to obtain old films for a Dr for another issue and they included the report from 2009, that apparently nobody reviewed or told me about. So I read it and told theDr and she ordered another CT. i get it thursday

Yes, I have something called a gradularnoma (I think) it is harmless and they just keep an eye on it.

Get a diagnosis on what exactly is in that nodule and then you will know what you are dealing with. Just a "node" is not telling anything it is just a shadow on the X-ray. Hopefuly the CT will tell what it is.

A CT scan or a nodule of that size? CT scan's are no big deal. They are loud but other than that they are the gold standard for better images. If you have anxiety the doctor can give you something to help you relax before the test. The next step would be a needle biopsy if it looks suspicious.
How do you know it's been there since '09? I can hardly imagine them just watching it without telling you. Has it grown since '09 and that's why they want to do a CT?
It could be lots of things, but we worry about the bigger ones. Try not to over think until you know for sure. "If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it." I will say a prayer for you. Please let us know how you do.

My mother had a nodule on her lung. She was going in for triple bi-pass and during some scans they found it. If they cannot determine if it's ok/not okay, they'll take a biopsy. They actually ended up removing my mothers (she was in for triple bi-pass). And it was simply just a nodule... how the Dr. explained it... hers, it was like if she was growing a tooth on her lung. I know, gross but our bodies are weird like it. If it was found in 2009 and you've gone back for regular check-ups, I'm sure they just want to keep an eye on it and should continue to do so. Good luck.
