I too believe I have it. For years people kept telling me they thought I did because of all the various ailments I had. Then a doctor told me he felt that was probably it and asked if I wanted to be sent to a specialist to find out for sure. I decided against doing that.
I have researched and talked with others for years. At times I was so down with it that I could barely pick up my daughter or other children in my daycare. There were times when my bladder infections just came one after another and I was fatigued ALL the time. But those days are almost past.
I believe that my symptoms have left the longest and stayed gone most completely when I keep my stress levels low, eat really well, exercise a lot but very carefully, and sleep enough. I've learned to shut the tv off at night and go to bed in a dark room without noise, exercise consistantly but without going overboard, and meditate. I listen to relaxation cd's, think positive, stay as close to God as I can and keep my conscience clean.
There have been a couple other things that have helped. I bought myself MBT shoes which has helped with my heel and feet pain, and I started swimming in addition to the treadmill I was already doing. For so long I saw myself as tired, old, and a little depressed. I was unhappy about having fibromyalgia and could see myself becoming decrepid! I had to take my health in my hands and change my attitude.
