i have talked with people from both. They are fairly similar, one just helps people with healthier everyday products, the other helps people with insurance. either one if going to be something where you are going to have to make the most of it. if you arent going to get out there, talk to people, and really work at it than it will not work for you. If you are a friendly, patient, go-getter who doesnt let a few "no"'s break your spirit than you will do just fine!

I used Ameriplan for many years and was very happy with it. (Didn't sell it but have recommended it many times here when people don't have insurance.) It made us happy, helped us through a lot of things. I started out with just dental, then was excited when I found out they had medical, too and plans for other things. So if you can sell, this might be just what people need. I know I did.

I wanted to find a Home Business while I was on Maternity Leave hoping to find something to make enough money to not go back to work. I tried Ameriplan, but unfortunately I never sold any of it. I ended up spending on the advertising products and monthly fee and after 6 months of no return at all I gave up on it.

I will tell you though that they have a great support system and everyone was great at helping and answering questions.

You do have to keep plugging along among a lot of rejection. If you can get passed that you will be successful I believe at whatever you choose.

Good luck

I didn't sell it but I bought it for about a year when I left my job. We gave them our paperwork from Blue Cross and requested similar coverage for similar payment. Went well, I thought until we needed them. I couldn't find a Dr. that would deal with them, and then when one did, they look at the bill- change the cost of the procedure, and pay the % of what they think it should cost. You can imagine where that left me. So I canceled because it was cheaper for me to just pay the Dr. the cash then to pay them the insurance AND have to pay 80% of the REAL bill!
I do have to say the agent we dealt with was very helpful both in getting started, and in cancelling. We network, so I can give you his name and number if you want to talk to him?
Myself, I never even considered them when I was looking to work at home. But Melaleuca- I love doing. - but I had never heard of them prior.

I have a few people on my work at home team now that tried Ameriplan first, all say they were happy with the insurance but never made any money at the business.
