Anyone Been to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine?

We are taking our kids for spring break and I am so excited! We already paid for our room so that's out of the way but I am wondering about saving on food since my family eats like horses. Are the restaurants at the lodge expensive? Is there a grocery store close by or other restaurants? Do they allow you to bring in snacks? Any other tips? Thanks

What can I do next?

I live near the one in Grapevine and have been there a couple of times. The food is pricey and not very good. You can take food into your room just like any hotel. Grapevine is a fabulous town! There are lots of amazing restaurants and several grocery stores. If you are there long enough to explore you'll find that there is no shortage of fun things to do nearby. Have a great time!

You can bring food in, pizza places will deliver. You cannot take food into the waterpark area, so make sure you eat before you go swim. I highly suggest you do the MagiQuest. We only bought one wand for 4 kids and it worked fine, they took turns with it. I think sharing one wand was better; cheaper, and sometimes there was a wait for the 'treasure' and if you then had to register 3-4 wands it could take forever. My kiddos were 10 (Bday party) and that was one of their favorite things.

The One in Pennsylvania has very expensive, terrible food. We ate out. I always bring snacks wherever we go.

You'll have so much fun! We loved the wave pool. :)

The have pizza right near the game area that is standard home-delivery type pizza, a bit more expensive. They also have a recently renovated restaurant which has pretty good food but is very pricey.

Most rooms have a mini-fridge and microwave, so you can bring snacks like cheese sticks and yogurt and fruit and have them on hand. There is Target in Grapevine not too far away. :)

You could go to the Rainforest Cafe (quite the restaurant experience, with animatronic rainforest creatures everywhere) in the Grapevine mall, which also has the Grapevine Aquarium and Legoland if you are interested in some other activities.

There is also an awesome sandwich shop called Weinberger's Deli in downtown grapevine, which is worth the trip (IMO). Sooo good.

We've been to lunch with a client and his family while they were staying there.

The children were loving it... The food was pricey and mostly fried.

I agree that Grapevine is a nice place to visit with several things to do.

There is a chicken express right down the road. The pizza is pretty good and reasonable.

I took the kids to GWL in Kansas City. We really loved it. We didn't eat at the lodge...too pricey for what you get. I'm sure there will be nearby restaurants and a grocery by yours. We ordered pizza.
