Hello,
Yes, I just moved to North Branford too! There is a great park on RT 139 and Rose Orchards. It really depends on the age of your children?!?

Northford is so beautiful and relaxing compared to being in the city. There is a great skating rink on Rt. 22 called the Northford Ice Pavillion, also if you go into Middletown (definitely not a long ride) you can go to Harbor Park and Wadsworth Falls which is actually in Middlefield I think but anyway it is so much fun there. I work in Middletown and take Rt. 17 home sometimes. OH and if you want to take the kids to see donkeys or asses, we pass them on 17 all the time, they are so cute!! One of these days I am going to take pictures of them.
Hello P.,
I live in Northford too, with my three children (10,7,2).
Rose's Orchard is a nice quick visit. They have animals and an ice cream shop. There are a lot of nice parks in town too.
It really depends on whether or not your child is school age or not. The library in Northford has a lot of programs during the day for little children. I would also recommend getting the Norht Branford Park & Rec booklet. They offer a wide range fo classes and activities for children (and adults) or all ages. The rec center is on Rt 80, right next to Wall Field (baseball field).
Also, every thursday the town of Durham has a food stand. I think its from 3-6 each Thursday on the green. Its larger than you think- and its great tot ake the kids to because they can meet the people who grow vegs, fruit, raise animals and they even have cute crafts there too.
