Any Toddler Activity Suggestions?

I'm trying to find something new to do with my 2 year old. I know he'll enjoy playing in our new backyard when it gets warmer, but I thought he might also like a gymnastics class or something else. Would you recommend somthing like that for his age? Is there anywhere nearby, preferably inexpensive. (I live in Spring City)

What can I do next?

Kehler's Gymnastics in Broomall (right near the Lawrence Park Shopping Center) has classes for toddlers. The Mom's stay on the floor to help, but they have them on all kinds of equipment as they cycle through a bunch of stations. They have 8 week sessions that meet once a week.

Hi R.,
Several moms in my Moms Club group have spoken highly of My Gym. It's located in Downingtown/ Lionville although I'm sure you could find a similar place in your area. The classes combine music, gymnastics, and singing. We're involved in Kindermusik located in West Chester. My son is 10 months old and loves it! We're taking our third class. There are curriculums tailored to various age groups.

Where are you located? John Pancott in Frasier is great! For 2 year-olds, they basically just let them run crazy.

Hi R.,

I live in Eagleville, so I think the Lower Providence Library that is right by me would be a little far for you to travel, but perhaps the library by you has a similar program. My library has storytime during the week, some sessions are for young tots like yours and others are for children a little older. I used to take my step-daughter to these before she started kindergarten. You leave your child with the other children and the story-teller in a small room in the library and you can do other things in the library while storytime is going on. It might give you a much needed little break where you can look for a book to read, surf the internet, or just read a magazine, all while your little one is in the next room. It is usually a little less than half an hour, so you don't have to worry about leaving him for too long and they usually give the kids little stickers when it's over so he'll have something fun to show you when he's all done. I hope this helps.
