I know that answer is most likey "yes" but I think I am just looking for sympathy. Ha Ha Ha. I am 35 weeks pregnant and my braxton hicks contractions are getting stronger and stronger each day. Today (all day) I have felt like I have cramps like I am getting my period. I am miserable. Its like you keep going into the bathroom expecting your period and not getting it. But with this its like "ok I am going to to into labor and have a baby" but you know most likely you are not b/c I am only 35 weeks pregnant. It is sooo frustrating. Trying to keep busy with myself so I am not thinking of the crampyness, but it is just there and just won't go away. And Yes - I know I am not in real labor. Pain is not getting any worse and I am pregnant with 3rd baby and I def remember what labor felt like. This is just being uncomfortable and knowing that I have 4 more weeks to go.

So, anyways, any other mom's feeling my pain right now?

Thanks!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

My first 2 pregnancies delievered at 36 weeks and 37 weeks. But I was induced b/c of health problems. So, I have never gone into labor on my own.

Thanks for the great reminders and knowing I am not the only one. Hehe. I tried to get a good nights sleep last night but was up about 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep. So, tired again today, but you are right.. just enjoy the time now. hehe. thanks again!

I feel you, sister! just had baby number three, and the BH started way earlier than with the other two....but that is normal. Apparently, they come earlier with each kid, and can be stronger, too. Very frustrating...as if pg isn't hard enough! Hang in there...lie down on your left side and stay hydrated...and if contrax get regular, call your doc!!

39 weeks pregnant today and I have been having those painful braxton hicks contractions since about 35 weeks. I'm all for waiting for natural labor and did it last time, but frankly I'm about ready to find someone to give me a back alley C-section! And, my best friend went into labor today and I'm so excited for her, but jealous :)...of course she's way past her due day (2 weeks...) so I can't really complain...but still I want to complain!

I have a 6 week old, and I remember feeling exactly like that. Every day is like an eternity. But, now, having a new baby...I long for the ability to just lie around, or to take a nap. Or to get up and go whenever I please. So try to relax and rest up...you will need your engery!

I am 35 weeks as well with my 2nd baby and am so tired and uncomfortable. I spend all day running to and from the bathroom. I had my last baby at 30 weeks last year so I was never this far in my pregnancy before so I didn't know what to expect the 2nd time around. I feel your pain. My feet are so swollen but sometimes I have to stop and remind myself to just enjoy this moment. I know I am cranky and tired and really really uncomfortable but then when I just relax for a second and think how amazing it is that I have been given the opportunity to be pregnant again (we had a lot of trouble conceiving) and that there is a little person in there kicking around....it is an amazing thing. We have a few weeks to go so when you are feeling down just try and stop for a minute and enjoy the moment because this might be it for me and it might be it for you...who knows if we will get to experience this again....so if your feet are as swollen as mine...kick them up and just stop to smile just for a minute!

I agree with the other ladies. Braxton Hicks shouldn't hurt, it should just be a tightening sensation.

I'm 32 (and a half) weeks along with number 4, and i already asked the doctor how soon we could induce. I know I need to make it at least another 3.5 weeks but I'm dying, everything hurts, i have contractions all the time (that aren't doing anything but making me miserable) can't sleep, can't eat, can't walk.......and last night this little guy decided to beat on my for HOURS.

I guess i needed to complain a little bit too. So yeah I feel your pain. but it will be over soon, sooner for you than me (and my doc doesn't induce without medical need unless i go 41 weeks, grrrrr)

and for the record, I've only been induced once and it sucked big time and was for medical reasons, I don't condone people having babies early on purpose because they aren't comfortable or it's more convenient, however it's a nice thought when my back hurts so bad i want to cry and i can't put my shoes on because my feet are swollen and my ribs feel black and blue from little feet (but at least he's active right?!)

go to the doctore. Braxton Hicks shouldn't hurt. You actually could be starting pre-labor, you could be dialating. I would call and get checked. Hundreds and thousands of women have their babies early, why couldn't you be one of them?

I'm not feeling that specific type of pain, but I am 37 weeks and sooooooooo uncomfortable. Seriously, I just want to be done! My back and hips ache and I have to pee every 30 seconds. I know I'm not even close to having the baby (just visited the doc) so I have two more weeks to endure. I can't sleep at night and just doing the laundry leaves me exhausted. I don't remember feeling this way the first time around.

ugh... let's hope we both get through the next few weeks!
