Hi, my name's A. and I just moved from Milwaukee, WI to Rochester Hills, MI. I've been looking online for a moms group or playgroup, I have 2 and a half year old twins, and haven't been too successfull with finding anything. Just wondering if maybe someone would know of a good group to get involved with any help would be appreciated!

What can I do next?

Hi! I teach a Parent/Tot class at the Troy Co-op Preschool. We're located on Livernois Road between Square Lake and South Blvd. We meet once a week for 1 hour 15 minutes. We do free play, circle time, a craft, and snack.
You can check out our website for more info. You're always welcome to come in and preview a session!

Hi A.! I was in the same boat 4 years ago...moved from CT. One of the first things I did was join goMOMS (Greater Oakland Mothers of Multiples) www.gomoms.org. Great group for support, resources and made lots of friends with twins the same age. We meet 2nd Tuesday evening of each month at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church on Walton Blvd. We have monthly Moms Nights Out and Playdates. We also have our semi-annual Mom2Mom sale coming up on 10/16 and our Family Fall Party at Upland Hills Farm on 10/23. Check out the website (www.gomoms.org) for more details. Feel free to contact me...I also know another woman in town with a 3 yr old boy and 4 1/2 yr old girl originally from Milwaukee, WI (moved her approx. 4 yrs. ago).

Hey A.! Welcome to the area! There are two indoor play places that are good places to have your little ones meet other kids, and you to meet other moms. They are Kiddie Klub (Crooks & Auburn) and a new place that just opened, Rochester Play (Pine & University) just off Rochester Road. Both places are clean and well maintained. They both have cafes to have lunch, with adult and kid choices. Hope that helps!
Ask your neighbors, too. Most neighborhoods have a great connection and have their own little mom's groups, playgroups and get togethers. You just have to put yourself out there! Good luck!

Look in the Suburban Lifestyles free paper that comes each week - it has an ad for Moms Club, Newcomers club and Oakland county Moms. Also there are 2 twins clubs active in the area - GOMOMS and Northern Macomb Mothers of Multiples. I think they both have web presences or facebook stuff...
There is also Gymboree on Crooks Rd in Rochester Hills and Dinosaur Hill runs cute classes for kids your age and also story time at the library too....

Hey A.! I also moved here fr Milwaukee - can't believe it has been just over a year now! Anyway... it doesn't appear that anyone mentioned the Rochester Newcomers Club. http://www.rochesternewcomers.com/

There are some moms with twins who also belong to the multiples mom group and it is a good mix of people who are new and those who stay with the club but aren't brand-new to the area so they have lots of great advice!

I have two girls (5 & 3) and would love to get-together to reminisce about Milwaukee!! We are thinking of having a Super Bowl party -- are you in? Otherwise, the Newcomers Club has a Mom & Tot group where we alternate hosting playgroup. My date is coming up on Feb. 3rd so feel free to e-mail me or call/text and you can either come for playgroup date and check it out or we could just find a time to get together ourselves!

You are going to love it here -- I'm sure you do already!!

I just moved to the area from Massachusetts, and have boy/girl 3 year old twins. I literally have not met a single mom in my neighborhood, etc. I would love to meet for a playdate, or be in the loop on any good groups you discover. Thanks!

I know there is MOMS Club in Rochester Hills. It is a wonderful group if you are a SAHM.
Some one asked this question a few years ago :) Here is the link to the responses, maybe some of them are still around: http://www.mamapedia.com/questions/3498385128520941569
