My son will be 5 this May, my father is turning the BIG 50 in June and my husband will be 30 this July. I want to do a big party for my father and husband but then I don't know if I should add my son's birthday party in with what I'm doing for my father and husband. Any Ideas???????? And should I make my father and husband a theme party???????

What can I do next?

I would keep your Son's birthday separate. All the people might be overwhelming for him.

The over-the-hill idea sounds good. What are their interests? Do they have any of the same interests? Golf? Hiking? Camping? Fishing? You could do something around their interests also?

Wow thats a bunch of party planning to do lol :) I would definetly do your son's party separate and your Father and Husband's together. I think a family bbq at the park or at your house would be good and do a theme for your Father with all black stuff "Over the Hill" that is what we are doing for my stepdad in April. Have fun!!

I would keep your son's separate, but do an "over the hill" backyard bbq for the dad and hubby. Make everything black and buy gag gifts for them, and make them walk around with canes all day.

I would do your son's bday seperate and then the adult party together. A theme party could be fun, it's bbq season in July, so maybe have a bbq, swim...?

Also, my sis is a clown, she is excellent with kids, just a tip for your son's party.

We have our Kids Camps out at Meadoemere Park on Lake Grapevine all summer for ages 4-13 and have a 40x40 pavillion tent we put up. We also have archery, target shooting, kayaking, fishing and more. www.AdventureDayCamps.com

We could host a birthday party for your son, then one for your husband and father. We could grill hamburgers and hot dogs, etc. We have some fun teambuilding games we use with kids and adults that would be fun for your dad's/husband's party. Something for everyone and you could "enjoy" the day without having to worry about the planning and activities :-)

I can be reached at ###-###-#### if you are interested.

Definately seperate! We use to have big parties and invite over all the family and friends but that took away the attention of the birthday boy or girl so I always make sure an have a party that is just for my kids.

Definately over the hill stuff is the way to go. My hubby turned 30 last year I got this candle set that said OH NO the Big 30 to put on his cake. You can order a full sheet cake if you are having lots of guest and do a pic of them on each side. The use the icing to kind of frame the pictures you put on the cake. That way they can have their candles on each side. Another idea and is buy cheap picture frames and have pictures around of them when they were younger to now. This is great way to create a neat little centerpiece. Another thing you can do is buy a blank book from Michaels one for you hubby and one for your dad and have all the guests write advice or comments in the books to them. I did this at shower for a friend and she says she still reads that book and it was a great memory for her. I used scrapbooking stickers to decorate the outside and used a picture frame to put the directions in for the guest and taped a pen on the table for guest to use.

I hope you have a great party!
