The only way I know how to tell for sure is an ultrasound.
How can you (if you can) tell if you r having a girl or a boy, or twins early on? (Twins run in both families)
The only way I know how to tell for sure is an ultrasound.
I don't know if it can be done without a doctor, but when we were trying, we had an ultra sound before trying and it showed two eggs ready. The doc said for hubby to inject egg release hormone into my hip on Sunday(drew a circle with a Sharpie on me). Told us to wait until Tuesday morning to do ANYTHING. Try as much as we wanted after that, BUT said "Do NOT take a pregnancey test before you come to see me next Wednesday. The HCG levels will still be too low for a home test to show up and you will just be upset for nothing. Took the test Sunday anyway, showed pregnant. Hubby didn't believe it. Took two more tests Monday morning. Both positive. He still wouldn't believe it. Went to doc on Wed. She said, "as long as the HCG levels are over 50 you are pregnant". HCG was 260! I said,"Oh, I know it's twins!" She said not necesairily. Did an ultra sound and she said,"Oh, I see 'twinkies'! Look! Twins!" We both thought my husband was going to pass out!
I have a friend that swears by the needle on a string over the wrist 'test'. She is mostly correct when she does it, but I still don't believe it.
Edited to add: The older you are, the more eggs are released at one time. I was almost 39 at conception.
Sex = Ultrasound or amino
Twins = heartbeats or ultrasound
ultrasound.. we found out we were havign a girl weeks ago. but since finding out i was pregnant we were both ddiiieeeinng to know wether the baby would be a boy or a girl.. theres so many online quizzes that say they can predict what your having.. theyre all based on old wives tales and ask questions like are u carrying low or high, what kinds of foods are u craving, has your skin changed.. all things like that.. well about 75% of the ones i took said i was having a boy and the other 25%said girl.. well the majority was wrong its a girl... and i will also tell u that from pretty early on, about 3 months i had a few people close to me say r u sure youre not having twins??, even when i already knew there was only one baby from the first ultrasound, because i wasnt gaining weight anywhere else but my belly sticks out so far.. i askd my doc and she said not only because i am very short (5ffoot) but i have a very short torso, i guess im mostly legs lol that there was no room for anything to move anywhere else but out so my bellys gna stick out further than someone who had a longer torso... im not going to lie though taking the online quizzes and "trying" to predict what the baby would be was kind of fun and i will add that my fiance was positive it would be a boy even before itook any of the quizzes but my entire family was like nah its a girl-andthey were right
and i wil add that my cousin was told throughout her pregnancy that she was having a girl and ended up having a boy.. that was 9 years ago im sure technology is a little better now i dont want to scare you lol
